Sick Baby

Has your baby ever cried and have completely no idea whats wrong with them?!?

It started Tuesday night....

I was just about to go to bed around 10:30 or so, then I heard my son crying (unusual at this time). I check on him, do everything I could think of to make him better but he's still crying like he's hurting. I figured it could be his tummy upset & it's just gas. I set him back down to sleep after about 30 min of rocking him (which I never rock him to sleep but he needed me).

1:00 I'm awaken to another cry from my baby. I check on him, and didn't have a clue what was bothering him. I did know that his nose has been stuffy & running all week, and he has had a bad cough. I would rock him in my arms, then lay him down as he has fallen asleep in my arms. Not a second later after I've laid him down he cries. I'm thinking to myself, ugh am I spoiling him cause he wants to be held? I did this about three times, then realized after he falls asleep on me the fourth time I will just hold him and try closing my eyes to get a bit of wrest. Mind you after the fourth try it's 3:30 a.m! I finally laid him down this time without him waking up, so I laid back in my bed.

This really hurt me to see my baby in tears screaming because he's hurting and mommy doesn't have a clue to what's wrong!!! It really had me scared, I was crying and upset as I watched him lay his sweet face on my chest. All I could do was pray to God to take this pain away! I did get to a point at one time where I wanted to take him into the hospital, but didn't and waited.

I had already decided I definitely wasn't going into work. My husband got up at 5, then Hunter got up crying again too. I finally calmed him down and put him back to sleep. I laid down for a while longer, then managed to get myself up at 7 to get dress while Hunter was sleeping. We went strait to the doctor.

Come to find out my baby had two severe ear infections & a touch of Bronchitis!!! :( I don't know why, but It never came to my conclusion that he could of had an ear infection.

Luckily it wasn't something really major. I got him some amoxicillin and Motrin in him, then laid him down for a 3 hour nap! I tried taking a nap while he did but I couldn't for some reason, all I could do was watch the clock every 20 minutes.

After he got up, you couldn't even tell there was nothing wrong with him! He was just as good as new! :) Thank God for good medicine!

After a while later mommy started not to feel so well either. I hadn't ate anything all day because I just didn't find myself to have time to eat. That was one reason why I felt very weak. And I didn't have enough wrest, luckily my baby wanted to nap some more. After eating & feeding him we took another 2 hour nap and felt much better!!!

He slept all night last night, and seemed fine this morning, minus a runny nose.

So that's how I spent my Wednesday.

I am praying that he feels well for Sunday!!!

It's my Friday!!! Whoop, Whoop! Can't you tell I'm feeling much better than Tuesday's post?!?

Well I am, and i think a lot has to do with the good ole' man up stairs!!! Thank you Lord for wonderful blogger/ friends and family who take the time to pray for one another and lifting my spirits!!!

Did I mention to you all my mom will be here in 2 hours?!?!? =) I just got a phone call that she's in Charlotte, NC, they had an hour delay so she'll be in SC in two more hours! Yay! =D

This weekend is going to be a VERY busy and EXCITING weekend for me! Well you all know, it's my baby boys big day on Sunday! I cannot wait to start decorating and preparing for it! That reminds me I have to start rapping his presents this week.

Ah......the joys of your first baby turning 1! It' s really sad to here this if you think about it! You other mom's know what I'm talking about. My baby isn't a baby anymore but a toddler. Man, why does time go by so fast these days?!? I tell ya, it seems once you get married and have a baby is when it really flies...............by, that's for sure!
