Could you see me in this?

All week I've been driving a new 2011 Dodge Dakota and I LOVE it (minus the Dodge part)!!! I mean don't get me wrong I like my tiny car but I feel like a tough woman when I'm sitting behind the wheel of a pick up truck! Ha!

I've been completely spoiled with this truck while my car gets fixed and I don't want to give it back. They can keep my rinky dink Suzuki car, I wouldn't mind one bit. Ha!

Hunter has enjoyed riding in it too this past week. All he talks about when I wake him up for school in the morning is, " Mommy we going to ride in your truck, I like your new truck, Mommy your car has a boo-boo" Haha. It's so sweet the things he says! He feels like a big boy in the truck, sits very high up in his car seat and can see out of every window just perfect.

We'll both be saddened when we have to return it.

I'm definitely seeing a nice small Toyota truck similar to this one in my near future!! I'm in desperate need of a bigger vehicle but something that saves on gas!!

You can totally see me driving something like this right? Ha! :-)

You ladies have a wonderful weekend, mine begins after today and It's going to be a VERY nice weekend!!

Check out these fall temperatures...

Weekend Recap

I'm just going to recap my weekend in order by day, seems more easier than writing it all out, ya know? :)
Let's start with last *Wednesday
My husband brought home some gator meat! Him and his friend went out huntin early that night, brought home a small 4 footer and a copperhead. Yikes! Two combinations you wouldn't want to come face with!

*Thursday
Headed into work that morning after dropping off tootabugs, a truck ran into my bumper before getting on the interstate!! Not cool! I was okay, only got a whip lash. Trunk was completely smashed in, It's being fixed by the other drivers insurance as I type! It was a scary situation considering this was my first wreck ever in the 24 years I've been living! But thankful I'm okay, it could have been worse.

That evening I had plenty of daylight to burn since I had planned on going huntin that evening after all. I decided to take a chance and sat in the stand with my FIL. We saw some does, then after a while before it got dark, I shot one of he big does. My first doe of the season and got it all filmed on camera. I was STOKED!!

*Friday
I took care of some insurance stuff most of the morning, ate lunch with my good friend Jen., then went shopping for myself! It's not often I have $ to buy for myself so I figured I'd splurge just a little bit. Bought some cute shirts on sale, jeans and dress shoes. LOVE new clothes! Ha!

That evening I brought Hunter home from school then he got to play in the mud after all that rain we got. He LOVES LOVES LOVES the water and CANNOT and WILL NOT stay away from it no matter where we're at. Drives me crazy but ya gotta love him. He's a water baby. :) He had fun driving his truck in all that water with his water boots on

*Saturday
I decided tootabugs and I would take a break from hunting all day and just lounge around the house. We went to park for a few minutes that day. Visit Aunt Tammy, and watched the game while over there GO TIGERS!! :)

*Sunday
We went to church then lounged around the house all evening while the rain pored down all day.

My kind of weekend!! Hope you all had a great weekend as well!!

Load.. Aim.. Fire!!!

My friend Kim invited me to all Ladies Night at this gun shop we have near town for some shooting lessons. Since both our husbands own a pistol now, we figured it wouldn't hurt to get some practice in of our own for self defence.
Our trainer showed us how to load and handle a 22 pistol and a 22 revolver. We got a free t-shirt, and 5 passes to return whenever we want.

We had a blast!!

My heart was pounding with an adrenaline rush of excitement!!
This was my first time shooting a hand held gun and It felt awesome!!

We had 50 bullets to shoot in either gun, I think I liked the revolver better.
I didn't do too bad.

Now we know more than our hubbies and will have to show them how It's done. Ha!
We will definitely be returning soon, cannot wait!!

If you have a gun shop like this around town Id definitely recommend going. Even if you don't own a gun, you'll have fun and learn a few things and feel good about it!!

Cheers to one fun night! Thanks Kim!! ♥

Fall like Weekend

Hope everyone had a great weekend!!
Thursday evening we kicked off the weekend by taking Hunter to chuck-e-cheese. He's been asking to go for about a month now and we finally had the time to take him. We told him if he was good for the school week, we'd take him.

(he had me laughing at this picture, can't you see my cheese ball smile, ha!)

As you can see he had a blast!! I believe Daddy enjoyed it more than Mommy. :)

*Friday*
Ya'll the weather was unbelievably phenomenal outside, nice and cool with an overcast, just the beginning of fall weather!!! I spent most of the day doing some deep fall cleaning, I took out all the fall decorations and lite all the pumpkin spice candles, opened up all he window's in the house., had it feeling like fall in my house. Perfect day!!

That evening I went out in the boat with my hubby and his friend gator hunting. It was FREEZING by then and the lake was so dried up we came back into landing after only an hour on the water.
Us on the boat freezing my butt off. Ha!

*Saturday*
it was plane out cold! Ha. We all loaded up early morning and headed out to the hunting club. We had a fun day of hunting, ran 7 bucks, killed 2. Wayne and I both missed one. :( Wayne got a coyote while hunting, pretty cool.

*Sunday*
we went to church, hen headed to my Granny's house to eat dinner. Stayed for a few hours then headed back home to relax then take Hunter to Awana.

And now It's Monday, Blah! :) Have a great week ladies!!

So Proud

I have a few things that I need to document about Hunter before they cross my mind and I forget. So this will be a Random post about how Proud we are of him.

* We have been so proud of Hunter lately, he has gone #2 on the potty for two weeks now and he's not afraid to tell you! Whenever he goes, he says "Go away Mommy." Too funny.

*We signed back up for Awana at church this year and Hunter is now a Cubbie! :) His first night was last Sunday and he brought home all his paper work for me, he has to learn his Bible verse for each week.  This week's bible verse is "God loved us and sent his son" 1 John 6:   We have been going over this verse and the Cubbie motto "Jesus loves me" everyday this week and he new it after the 1st day!! He's done so well with remembering. He'll receive a vest with a pin this Sunday if he knows the bible verse. I'm so proud of him!!! It makes my heart smile to know that he is learning about the goodness of God's grace and what he's done for us!!

*Hunter brings home paper work about what he's learning for that  week each Monday, which helps out TREMENDOUSLY!! Before he moved to the 3yr old class I was clueless as to what he was doing for the week because his teachers never had a schedule like the one he has now. His new teacher Mrs. Sherrelle works very hard each week putting together his assignment and makes sure each parent knows what's been going in that day and week.  We love his new teacher and are blessed to have someone like her!!  Thank you Mrs. Sherrelle!!

*Here is an example off what they review at school each week, they have to learn about a shape, how to write a letter, learn a color, how to count and write a number, and practice writing there name every week. Pretty simple work. We go over this each evening when he comes home from school. He's learned so much and we are very proud of him.

We are so Proud of you Hunter and am looking forward to even more Proud moments to come. Keep it up baby boy!!

Fall Wreath Anyone?!?

As most of you may know, I've been using my craftiness to hand make these Fall wreaths over the past 2 weeks. I am so Thankful I discovered Pinterest a few weeks ago [ yeah I'm a late jumping on the band wagon when it comes to discovery these things ha] thanks to all you Blogging ladies!

I am so happy with the way they turned out and can't wait to make more!!!!
I fell in love with this one the most....

This wreath is made from a grapevine wreath attached with handmade fabric flowers, a few decorations, and finished with a bow!!

My yarn ball wreath...

This wreath is made out styrofoam balls wrapped in yarn attached to 3 wire hangers (I made myself) finished with some decorations and a bow! To be honest with you, this wreath didn't turn out the way I wanted it to. Had to many out of place balls , didn't use enough, and it didn't form a circle like I wanted it to. Overall I thought it was okay being it was my first one made!

So what do you ladies think, which one is your favorite?!?

Feedback would be great!

~~~
I've also made an Easter wreath in the past year that turned out quite lovely as well.
Click on link below. (can't get my smartphone to select a certain word to link up to)
I'm looking forward to making many more of these adorable wreaths in the near future for other holidays!!
So keep a look out.
Beach Bum
Over the weekend we had the chance to take Hunter to the beach. Saddened to say this is the first time this year I took him, even though this Mommas been twice. Shame on me for not taking him,.. I know! Ha. He loved every bit of playing in that water and kept a smile on his face the whole time. I'll definitely be making plenty more trips like this one next Summer along with my little guy.
My Labor Day weekend..
Here's a look at a few random things we did while off for 3 days last weekend....
Friday evening Hunter and I loaded up our things and spent the night with my Granny. I needed to get away for a night since the hubby was going huntin. This was our 2nd night staying the night off like this and Hunter did really well. Gee Gee really enjoyed our company.
I let my brother that was over that night spend time with H for a few hrs while I went huntin' with my dad. Felt nice to be in a stand. Saw a ton of turkeys and my 1st bobcat, it was an interesting night to say the least. Saw no deer tho.
Check me out.. ha!
~~~
Saturday morning we woke up to a big breakfast, ham, Bacon, grits, eggs and toast. It's been a while since I had a nice breakfast from my Granny like that. What would we do without her! :)
After breakfast we drove to Lowe's for a few things my Granny needed.
He got to ride like Jimmy Johnson while Gee Gee steered the way. Ha.

We then went to Wally World for some fabric I'm going to be using to make these beautiful fall & Christmas wreaths. >

It's been a fun project I've already started on and cant wait to show off.

Back home at my Granny's, she made this Mexican hat back when she used to creche, gave it to H, ha.. too funny.

~~~
Sunday was my last day teaching our Sunday school class for the 2yr olds. We had a little breakfast party for all the children. I am saddened to leave them but I needed a break for the year. Figured I'd get back into a Sunday school class for myself. We all need breaks sometimes.
~~~

Monday we took tootabugs huntin most of the day. We saw a few deer nothing worth shooting at, can't you tell he had a blast but was pooped towards the middle of the day. :)
