I forgot to mention that Hunter did number 2 on the potty this past weekend. Isn’t that exciting?!? Well if you have a child then you know it is. Hehe I didn’t think he would use the potty for that just yet, but he did just well. Another proud moment in our lives! J
For two weeks now I’ve been having a little problem with dropping Hunter off at daycare & at his Sunday school class. He is going through one of those attached phases. Before I walk him into his class, I have a talk with him that goes a little something like this:
Mommy: Hunter mommy’s about to drop you off at your school. I want you to be a good boy okay.
Hunter: okay
Mommy: Okay so that means don’t hit, push, bite, spit & listen to your teacher’s okay.
Hunter: okay
Mommy: so I’m going to walk you in & mommy’s got to go bye bye & I’ll pick you up later so don’t cry when I walk you into your class room because mommy will be back, I promise.
Hunter: okay (and he gets excited to go in)
We both walk in together. I sign him in, and give him kisses before entering the room. Right before we hit the door is when it all begins. He starts clinging onto my leg, & wants me to hold him & will not let go. He cries & throws a huge fit every time I drop him off. It’s not just at his school either, like I said this happens at church as well, so I know it has nothing to do with him being afraid of the teachers or anything. I believe it’s just a phase he’s going through. It’s so crazy because two weeks ago he did good, but now It’s horrible dropping him off. I hate leaving him all upset but there really isn’t anything I can do but walk away. His teachers says he is fine after about 5 minutes of me leaving. Ah the joys of kids & there crazy phases they go through. It’s amazing how one week they are completely opposite from the next. I just hope that this phase passes away very soon because I don’t like it. Ha!
