July Randomness

Since I haven't really had the time to post about all the fun events that's happened in our lives for the month of July, I am going to list out a few things that's taken place! Bare with me...

* My friend Jen had her baby boy July 15th... Meet Owen the most precious handsome baby boy ever! It felt awesome holding a newborn, not that I want another one or anything *sarcasm :)

*Hunter moved up into his 3yr old class at daycare. They are testing him out early to see how well he accomplishes. He hasn't been fully potty trained yet, but we're all still working on that. My babies growing UP!!

*We've got all our tree stands up and ready to hunt. Deer cameras are out and deer have found the corn. Got some small cow horns and does. Now we're just patiently waiting for August 15th, 3 more weeks baby! Here's a pic of Hunter in the tree stand with his Momma for the 1st time!


* I've attended 2 concerts this month. It's been since March that I last went to one, figured it was time to cut lose! Ha! My friend Kim invited me to see Josh Thompson & Lee Brice (for the 3rd time). We had a blast! She's a Bricaholic shall I say! :)


~I invited her to see Brantley Gilbert at a small bar downtown. I am so IN LOVE with him! He only lasted 30 min on stage and sung 5 songs... that was a disappointment, BUT they say he was sick and wasn't feeling well. Poor babe, I'll have to give him another shot! Luckily it was a free concert!

* My son got chased after by some yellow jackets and stung on his right ear! Him & G-daddy were walking in the ditch bank and a whole swarm of them came out and attacked. They both only got stung once, THANKFULLY!! My poor baby was in tears and petrified!!! He was fine after an hr went by. * his 1st bee sting... Aw!


* Hunter loves his Bubba.. AKA Uncle Jamie! Probably because he let's him get away with everything and does what he wants! Ha.


* In less than a month my baby will be 3!!! It seems so unreal! I'm kind of sad and happy. :\

* Hubby bought me some new hunt boots! LaCrosse snake proof boots! I LOVE them! :)

* I have just about everything ready for his birthday party thanks for all the help from Grandma (mom)!! I am so excited, he's going to have the best party yet!

* Hunter got lucky last week. He won the schools door prize, a basket full of goodies!! I was shocked but so happy for him! He's got that good Luck like his Momma, that's right!

* I've finally started putting Hunters scrapbook together from his 1st year of life! It's taking me some time to get everything together but I'm super EXCITED about this new project. I should have started months ago, but I'm hoping to get it done before his party. That's my goal anyways. :)

* My hubby and I both got picked for gator tags this year!! We are so excited to go "choot" us a gator! It's going to be fun!

I believe that covered my whole month of July! :-) Tune in for another letter to my precious son on the next post! (can't believe It's already been a month)

Vacation Part II

Saturday June 25th we got up extra early for a 2 hr drive to Pigeon Forge, TN. We drove the strip for a good 20 min before everyone decided what we wanted to do, then ended up playing a game of put-put. The weather was beautiful, upper 80's and the kids had fun. We then headed to my favorite place, Apple Barn and ate lunch!

Afterwards we went to our favorite place in the World (well kinda) Cades Cove. We brought a cooler full of picnic stuff & drinks, and all road in the back of the truck. We got to see a LOT of great Nature and Beautiful animals!!! We saw so many bucks, a few bears and lots of turkeys! It was a lot of fun!

That Saturday night we had a long ride home, arrived at the house around midnight.

Sunday morning we slept in for a little while. Got everything packed up to head on home. Before leaving we got to swing on the many swings they had at this house, one was a zip line which was so much FUN!! We took a few photos then loaded up and headed home for the 6 hour drive.

We really enjoyed our vacation and I'm hoping to do it again VERY soon!!

Vacation in the Mountains 2011 Part 1

Finally, a post about our Vacation back on June 24th!

It's Been a busy past couple of weeks to say the least! That Thursday night we loaded up the van/truck and headed to Burnsville, N.C for a weekend get away. This guy who goes to our church had rented this house out in the Mountains for yrs now, and we got to enjoy the place all to our selves! We arrived close to midnight, unpacked, then headed to bed.
Friday we took an hour drive up to Tweetsie Railroads. A theme park for children in the beautiful Mt.s! We had a BLAST! The kids LOVED it! We got to do all sorts if things like, ride on two different "choo,choo" trains, play games, jumped in the castle. drove goat carts, saw Dora and Diego, they had a ferris wheel, all kinds of rides, and a petting zoo. Hunter truly enjoyed himself!

Afterwards we headed to Linville Caverns, a cave you can explore with a tour guide. It was very interesting to be down inside a Mt. You weren't allowed to touch anything and you had to be very careful there you walked. Hunter did very well letting.g his daddy carry him the whole time! It was extremely cold inside the cave. We got to experience total darkness inside the Mt, that was pretty awesome!! Got some great pics!

July 4th weekend

This is a little late! I've been so busy with all these summer events and vacation, I'm finding it hard to keep up!

Heres a recap of our weekend...
Friday I took my niece and her two friends to the beach! That was my first time I got to visit the beach this year, it was really relaxing and we enjoyed every bit of it!!


On the way home from the beach we stopped @ ToysRUs and bought Hunter yet, another pool. The last one we bought had a whole in it the 2nd day we had it! This one is a lot bigger and we got a great deal, on sale for $48, can't go wrong with that!! We blew it up as soon as we got home. Look how nice this pool looks. Ha!

That night my baby got his first black eye. He was crossing over from the end of our bed to dresser and his hand slipt when he put it on dresser, and smack, his face hit the dresser! Poor baby cried and cried. His right dye and cheek was black and blue. He was okay after 5 minutes then laughed it off when he looked at it in mirror. Ha, tough cookie! :)

Saturday we went to the hunting club to lay out corn and hang cameras. Preparing for August 15th, first day of deer season, sooo CANNOT wait!!

Sunday we went to church, enjoyed a beautiful service remembering all our troops who've served for our freedom!

That evening we took Hunter to see his very first movie in theater!! We took him to see Cars 2. He was so excited to go, he loves cars!! He did pretty good considering this was his first movie. He didn't pay attention the whole time of course, but he was good. We got up three times to go potty and he squirmed from seat to seat. Lol But we enjoyed taking him!!

After the movie, we all got in the pool and had a blast! Hunter loved his new pool and so did Mommy and Daddy!!

Monday, Hunter finally let us sleep in, until 9 that is!! I'm not complaining!! We spent most the day in the pool. Got lots of sun! Then that night we bought a few fire works and lit them for Hunter! He enjoyed it, except for the really loud ones, he'd cover his ears and run for his.life!! Haha, It was funny!

Over all we had a really nice weekend relaxing at the house and spending time with family! My kind of weekend!!

Now hopefully I can post about our Vacation trip to the Moutians we took 2 weeks ago. I cannot wait to show all the great pictures we took.
