January- May 2014

2014 started off a rough year for Wayne's family, we lost a very good hearted woman on February 14th! Wayne's Granny went home to be with Jesus. She lived a long healthy life raising 5 children, and lots of Grandchildren and Great grand babies. She will never always think of her and cherish the house she left behind for us. God had bigger and great plans and he new what he was doing when he took her home!

 We moved out of our apartment and into Granny's home she left behind in March. It was such a huge blessing to us and we are so grateful for our new home!! We've done LOTS of remodeling on the inside and out, here is a picture of the new shingles that were put on. We love living here and couldnt' be anymore grateful!!

Since we got a back yard, we decided to bring home a new sibling, meet Maggie!!

I decided it was time for a big change, cut 9 inches off my hair for the spring/summer! I was in desperate need of a new look and I just LOVE it!! Feels so amazing!!

Some little boy got a visit from the tooth fairy because he lost his first baby tooth!!! :)

He was sooo excited. When his tooth was lose, that's all he'd talk about, drove me nuts and wouldn't keep his fingers out of his mouth! Crazy kid! He got $5 from the tooth fairy! Lucky him. ha

He also lost his 2nd tooth at school a few weeks after his first one came out right next to it.

 

We brought Tiger home to live with us after him being at my MIL's house for a few months, we couldn't keep him in the apartment, but now he's an outdoor and indoor kitty.

He's been wonderful to have back home!! We love Tiger!

 

 

TeeBall started up in April! Guess what team he's on again??

He's played so well this year, looking forward to next year, going for the couch pitch!!

The Easter Bunny came to town, ha. We had Easter dinner with my family at our house. It was nice having family over for the first time in our new home! Looking forward to making many more memories!

We're so proud of Hunter. His Art Work got picked to be on display for the schools wall of art show!!

He's such a great artist, got that from both his Momma and Daddy!

 Hunter had a school field trip at the Beach! We had so much fun and I enjoyed being there with him for this big day!

 We went skating for the first time with Hunter!! Went to my friends birthday party. He had a blast, and we busted our butts numerous times! Not cool!

We were beach babes last Saturday!! First time in the waves for this Summer!

Now that I'm somewhat caught up, maybe I can stick with this! :)

Shaved Head

Last weekend Hunter got a brand new hair cut for the Spring/Summer time. I never got to post about it last week so figured I'd make this my Monday post. His hair was getting out of control with all them thick curls and I was tired of trying to maintain it early in the mornings before school, especially with agrouchy 2 year old. :) I'm sure it feels a LOT cooler for him. I'm not too wild about the shaved head, but I suppose It's hair and it will grow back.

we gave him a mohawk for the time being, he wasn't too happy.

Poor guy, I felt bad for him with all that hair all over him.

Weekend recap

This is a little late....
Friday I got my hair "finally" done/cut.. I got a bunch of blonde highlights & about 3 inches cut off. This beautiful weather, made me feel like Sprin was in the air & I needed a change. It looks & feels SO much better!!

Friday night the hubby and I went out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse (late Anniversary gift from my mom)

Saturday Hunter and I went to visit G.G, Papa, and Bubba. He got to ride the fourwheeler and dirt bike with Bubba. He was beyond tickled riding with his Bubba. He loves him so much. ♥

Sunday was such a BEAUTIFUL day but we stayed in and napped most of the day. ha. We did end up going outside for a few hours later. We had to get used to this new time change, I have to say though.. I sure LOVE it!

Fun in the HOT sun

This weekend went by too quickly. Friday I went to the Beach with my friend Danielle & niece Miranda. I sure did enjoy my day off at the beach. The weather was just perfectly hot for it. Saturday was a really hot day, kind of like it’s been all week so far. We stayed inside most of the day. Wayne came up with an idea that he wanted to shave our son’s head since it has grown out so long & thick & we can never keep it short before it grows right back. Needless to say I let him cut it. I didn’t want to cut all his beautiful curls off either, but new it would be a lot cooler for him. It turned out quite cute. I didn’t like it at first and is still getting used to. After we shaved his head we lied him down for a nap & went to walmart while his Nanny watched him. We ended up buying him a bigger pool than what he had. It was a must in need! We filled it up for him that evening, & he was so excited when he saw it. He loves it & so does mommy because it sure does cool ya off when your laying out. Ha.
Sunday we went to church then went to visit with my Granny for the evening. Hunter got to ride the four-wheeler around with daddy while we were their.
We really didn’t do much as you can tell.

I tell you what, it sure has been HOT here in South Carolina these past few days. The highest it reached yesterday was 99’, record for the year, & the heat index was 110, INSANE!!! It’s way too hot for anyone to be outside & I sure do thank the Lord I work in the AC. Not to rub it in or anything.

I am so ready for this weekend. My mom’s birthday is on Saturday & I cannot wait for her to receive her gift from us. She’s going to be so happy. I’m also looking forward to Father’s Day as well. I have something really special lined up for Daddy day. Can’t wait. Hope everyone’s having a wonderful week.
