I'm Back!

Not much has been going on around here lately so I've been a little distance from Blogging world, please do forgive me.

January just seems like a VERY boring month. Ugh.
Anyways this past weekend was a fairly relaxed one for me. Didn't do a whole lot. Since hunting season has come & gone, Wayne & I have been watching lots of movies together lately. It feels good to have you baby in bed by a certain time at night so the two of us can just snuggle up & watch movies. =) I told myself after New Years I was going to start back at the gym and watch what I eat, well lets just say that I've lost 2-3lbs so far. I have managed to work in a weekly schedule for Mon. Wed. & Friday nights to hit the gym. I do feel like I'm a failure on the weekends though. During my work week I usually do pretty good about eating healthy but the weekends is what gets me. I usually get lazy & don't bother going to the gym & don't eat right. Ugh, I just wish I had someone whisper in my ear every time I try eating something bad so I can stop. Ha! I finally got a plack for my deer horns over the weekend, but before I put them up I wanted to take a picture with my little "Hunter" since I didn't get one holding it up. Ha, isn't he Handsome ladies?!?
On Sunday we went to church. ♥ I am so proud of myself, I finally convinced myself to visit a Sunday school class. I am a shy person & just meeting new people is very nerve racking, ya know. Of course my husband didn't come with me, but I'm praying he will soon. I enjoyed the class but looking forward to visiting other classes as well to get the feel of one that suits me. After church, went home to put on my new pink tank-top & shorts. Yes Shorts! It was like 70' on Sunday, how crazy is that, but I loved it. ♥

On to bigger & exciting things. My best friend who I love & have been friends with since 6th grade is pregnant! Yay! Me & this girl have been threw a lot over the past 2 years & I've forgiven her for the things that's happen between the two. Let's just say after I got pregnant & married she had nothing to do with me & my life style. She was still young, & into parties, when I wasn't so she wasn't there for me. But since I'm a good friend I want to be in every part of her life during these difficult but exciting times. I'm Thrilled. Since she told me this good news we have become like sisters all over again. It feels pretty remarkable if you ask me. Can't wait for her to come home (she's in Army) so we can catch up & be together like sisters all over again! ♥ I love you Christina & cannot wait to meet your little munchkin!

Note: this was taken back in Dec. so she's 16 weeks now! Won't be long & we'll find out if it's boy/girl! Yay! ♥

Mini Vacation/Doorknobs, BBD and such

It's been a while since I've had time to catch up on reading any one's blog and myself have been a bit slack at posting. I cannot find my usb cable to upload photos at this time so I'll have to settle with what I got for now. Please forgive me and don't give up on me, I will catch up one day!



This week has been a busy one for me. Today is my last day at work for this week. We're headed to TN in the morning. I'm so excited!!! It's been a while since we've gone on a vacation, and this will be our first with little man, so pray for us that everything goes well. We're all (my Granny, MIL, SIL, etc) staying in a motel in Pigeon Forge til Sunday. I have never been to the mountains in the fall so I just know it will be beautiful. Definitely expect plenty of pictures to come.



My son has accomplished a few things in the past 2 weeks, for instance he can reach the door knobs in the house now. He hasn't quite figured out how to turn them yet, but so close (oh brother). He can put one leg up on the bath tub to get in, but can't quite pull his weight up. He's definitely climbing into everything now, toy box, on changing table, etc. Crazy! :)

Onto other news, well gals I finally killed me a buck! As Lee & Tiffany Lakosky would say "BBD" (big buck down)! Well It's not the biggest but my tiny 8 point will just do for me for this year! I was so proud of myself it was unbelievable! I jumped for rejoice.

(I didn't have my camera with me at the time so I had to take it without head. :))

Recap of my week/weekend from last week!
I've skipped a lot of post for the past 2 weeks it seems and really hates falling this far behind. Okay so I'm going to explain a little differently this time so it will be a shorter post!
Hunter got small case of swine flu last week
started last Monday w/ high fever
daycare called said it reached 100' to come get son
took him to Dr., they said he just has a common cold
took him home, got Motrin in system
fever down & up, stayed home from work on Tuesday
H still didn't feel well
Fever went down, took him to daycare Wed.
got phone call that evening, my son has a temp of 102.5
What?!?!? OMGosh!
Left work immediately, took him to a "different" Dr.
Hunter has caught the small case of Swine flu
Oh gosh, tell me about it. I'm going to call his regular Dr. and raise some hell
Dr. gave him medicine to help with fevers.
My poor baby didn't feel good at all
runny nose, coughing, high fevers, just plain ole' miserable
made me & daddy worried and I cried like a baby!
Stayed home to take care of my baby Thursday
Felt much better by Friday evening
None of us caught this flu
Thank God!!!
My baby is back to daycare today and feels so much better!

So that's how last week went down for me. I tell you this swine flu thing is getting out of control. Everywhere I went, every one I talked to had some kind of flu. Even a child in my son's class had it. I think Hunter picked it up by himself because he was with me all last weekend, then got sick on Sunday.

Well as you can see no Gator for me. :( I did end up going Friday night, drove out into the water about 3 miles, hadn't seen not one gator, storm came in, got completely soaked. Oh gosh I thought to myself "What have I got myself into?" We weren't prepared for a storm that's for sure. It was freezing cold, and we had no shelter to cover from this. We ended up driving back in the rain. It was a long night. Thank God though we arrived to shore safely!

I went still (deer) hunting Saturday evening. We went to a plantation that had there own stands and food plots set up for hunters like us to sit. This guy has about 1200 acres of land and has some huge bucks on his property! It was a beautiful view of his home and the lodge for guest to stay in. Had a swamp behind the lodge infested with gators and fish. I'm telling you, I would do anything for this place! BEAUTIFUL! My husband, & FIL saw a bunch of doe's, I saw one little one but not big enough to shoot. You bet Wayne & I are returning and hoping to take down a big one! :)

Well that raps things up! I've been a bit spoiled taking these last few days off of work. I sure did enjoy the time I spent home with my son! It just goes to show how much you miss threw out the week when your not home with them.

Got a lot of work and blogs to catch up on! Maybe I'll get to them all before the weeks out!
