Labor Day Weekend (late!!)

Phew, It seems like this time of year is always the most busiest of them all! Here is what we've been up to in the past few weeks.
During Labor day weekend we took the kids to the water park, me and my sil. The kids had a fun time ending the summer with a little splash!
I always enjoy taking Hunter to the water parks during these hot Summer days! I got a scare of my life too, which was not fun AT ALL!! I lost Hunter for 3 minutes, thought he was headed up the water slide, I was waiting at the end for him to come down and he never showed up. I panicked, freaked out, looked everywhere for him, told the life guard and all. Then, to my rescue, my SIL found him at the Tree House where they were at. THANK GOD she found him because this Momma was scared to death!! It's not a fun feeling when your child goes missing, even for a split second!

Anyways, we went hunting for a few days out of the weekend, didn't see anything of course! Ha.
Daddy let Hunter practice shooting his gun one time while at the club, he loves shooting his gun!

We had a Labor day cook out at our house ( mil's house), enjoyed hamburgers and hot dogs.
Hunter pimping his cousin Miranda's shades and hat. Ha!
It was a wonderful Labor Day weekend I must say! Enjoyed having that extra day off!
 ~~~
Hunter had his 4 year well check up last Friday morning. He is 42" tall and weighs 42 lbs, very healthy. In the 80% percentile for his height. He got his hearing, and site tested while we were there. The Dr. said he looked great, and everything seemed fine. My poor baby got 3 shots that day, not fun at all! We had to hold him down for the nurse to give them to him, he does not do well at all with shots!! I hope he'll grow out of that some day.
Before his shots, so Happy...
After his shots, Not so Happy.. :-(
Our club finally got a buck for the 1st time of the year last Saturday, Hunter had to show the little 3 point off. Ha.
Ain't he cute in his new camo overalls?!?
Love him to pieces!!
We kicked off Awana last Sunday night at our church, pretty excited about that!! I've signed up to teach the little 3yr olds, so much fun teaching them all about God and our savior Jesus Christ!!
And these are just some of the things that have been going on in our world.
I've been praying, wishing, crying and hoping for some things lately.
Just been stressed with life a little bit but that's part of life I suppose. God puts these things in our life not to harm us, but to make us stronger! I have faith, God will provide, even if I'm not where he wants be to be.
Downtown Charleston
I went with my sister-n-law to our hometown football game Friday night. We got to see my beautiful niece perform in the color guard on the field which was amazing! We had lots of fun and won 21-10.
GO SUMMERVILLE GREENWAVE!!
I also took my baby to the Dr. that Friday for his 3year check up (running a little late taking him). He did very well, he weighs 38 lbs and 40 inches tall. He's such a big boy! While we were there he got his flu shot, poor baby wasn't happy with Momma after the nurse stuck him with the needle. :(
***
Saturday my friend asked if I'd like to take a trip downtown Charleston with her and her kids for the day, so I said sure.
Hunter and I loaded into Mrs. Kims car and headed down town.
It was such a gorgeous day out!
Hunter got to see some "hay,hays" (horses).
He saw tones of water..
A few boats and a bridge.
He had a blast!!
By the end of the day we were exhausted. Poor Hunter started coming on with a runny nose and cough. He was getting sick after he took the flu shot. I suppose It's from the side affects. (He's feeling a little bit better today)
Sunday we went to church the visited my Granny for the day while after we went right back to church for Hunters Puggles Awana class.
He brought home a badge that night on his vest for learning his bible verse. We're so VERY proud of him!!
Almost Ready..
Last week I finally decided to put up the Christmas tree. Better late than never.
Hunter decided he wanted to help decorate it for mommy. He did a great job. It was so funny, because every time I'd give him a Ball Ornament, he would throw it in the Christmas tree then clap afterwards! Such a silly boy! :)
Friday I took Hunter to his 16 (did I say that right) month check up at his Dr.s office. I cannot believe he'll be 16 months on the 24th. Mommy's boy is growing so fast. :( Anyways his checkup went very well. He actually was a little cry baby the whole time we were there. When the nurse checked his height, weight, etc. he would cry, then when the Dr. came in he cried about his examination. I really think that Hunter is starting to get the hint that these Dr.'s & nurses are mean to him, lol. He is finally starting to thin out to his normal percentile, he's at 80 - 90% right now, weighs 27 1/5 and 31 3/4 inches long. He didn't like it too much when he had to get 3 shots as well. I had to laugh at this, because once the lady stuck his little legs, I was holding his hands and trying to calm him, well he reached his arm up at me as if he was trying to slap me. I think he thought mommy was letting that mean nurse hurt him, but I had a little chuckle out of that.
See his boo boos :(
This past weekend I really didn't do a whole lot of nothing. Hunter & I literally stayed in our PJ's all Saturday! :) It was way to cold to be outside so we played inside all day. Once I got him down for a nap I would work on my Mom & Granny's Christmas gifts I had been making for months now. I started on these scrapbooks all about Hunter, for 2 months now. I really had no idea what I was getting into, but was satisfied with my work at the end. I tell ya scrapbooking is a lot of work!!!
I cannot wait to here that phone call from my mom the day she receives this! She has no idea! ;) I really put some time into her scrapbook because I know that she hardly ever gets to see Hunter or speak to him & this will mean a lot to her! ♥
(shh don't say anything to anyone if you are family reading this, It's a secret) :)
On Sunday I told Wayne that we should take our picture before heading to church, in front of the Christmas tree since we didn't get professionals done this year. It will be our Christmas picture for the family. I loved the way it turned out minus Hunter not smiling. :) I hope everyone had a great weekend! I cannot believe Christmas is just next Friday! This year has gone by way too fast and Christmas has just snuck up on us so quickly it seems. I've got some wrapping left to do, make these Christmas cards (might be late) then I'll be almost ready for Christmas!
