First Homework Assignment

My son brought home his very first homework assignment last night. (can you believe that?!?)

His assignment was to paint the circles on paper red. His teacher sent home a letter telling us what they have been learning in class... he's been learning the color Red and the #6. She says they teach the children this for two weeks so they'll learn it and memorize it.

I'm so proud of him! =)

He completed his homework & returned it the next morning. I find it quite precious that he is only 2 1/2 years old and already bringing home homework for to complete. So funny. I am dreading the years ahead when he has Middle/High School homework to bring home. Fun (sarcasm entered there)!

A few pictures of him completing his homework assignment...

Dear Hunter

Son, It's that time of month again... You have exactly 5 months before you turn 3. So
crazy! Just look at how big you are getting Hunter. I was just telling your
Daddy you are no longer a baby anymore.. your a big boy and It breaks my heart.
Your learning so many new things It's almost impossible to write about all of
it. You are talking like crazy lately and putting so many new sentences
together. Your such a huge helper around the house. Everything is "Me" lately,
you are Mr. Independent that's for sure. Your new thing is when you hear
something you say "What's that Mommy." Your always wanting to know what's going
on. You've been brushing your teeth so well now "by yourself." You can pull your
pants and pull up down and up with out any help. You no longer go to bed at 7:30
thanks to the time change... you lay in bed for a few seconds around 8:30 then
decide you need to turn the light on and play. You do this about 5 times before
falling asleep. It drives me INSANE but I still love ya. :) Your definitely a BIG
boy now!!! Your so sweet and loving. ♥
Hunter you are such a blessing to have in our lives and I'm so Thankful God chose
you to be my one and only. Your an incredible smart little man and Mommy & Daddy
couldn't be any prouder.

We love you from the bottom of our hearts.

he wasn't really awake when I took these this morning :)

Turkey Hunting, Spring, B-day weekend..

I’m am SO PROUD to say the picture you are seeing is TRUE! Ha. I have been studying about turkeys for the pass month and have been anticipating on opening day, March 15th for a while now. Well It finally got hear and all that hard work paid off. Friday morning I woke up early to head out into the woods behind my Dad’s house (by myself). I was in luck that morning, because to my surprise I had turkey’s gobbling all around me as I sat their quietly. It was the most exciting and amazing hunt I’d ever been on ya’ll. I was in and out of the woods by 8 o’clock with my first Jake (small Gobbler). I even got to film my own hunt with my new Kodak Playsport my husband bought me for Christmas, you can hear everything but you can’t see anything. Ha. I forgot to turn the camera when I shot my turkey, not bad for my first filmed turkey hunt. :) I was so tickled to tell everyone that I had just shot my first turkey EVER by MYSELF. It was an amazing feeling and I’m hoping to get a bigger one next hunt!! Okay so this probably didn’t make a bit of since to all you none hunters who read my blog so just ignore this paragraph of my post and move on. Ha. ;)

My idy bitty Jake (Gobbler)…
~
We had BEAUTIFUL weather all weekend, in the 80’s and we sure didn’t waste one minute of daylight from being outside that’s for sure.

Friday night Hunter and I went to a Birthday party he was invited to by his friend Conner at Chuck-E-Cheeses. This was the first time he had ever been to Chuck-E-Cheeses so lets just say he was in shock of everything. Ha. You should have seen the HUGE smile on his face when we went in there. Priceless. :) The kids had a blast! We ended up leaving around 8:30 and Hunter was pooped (tired). Thanks Jennifer/Conner for inviting us!!!
Saturday Hunter and I went to my sister-n-laws house while Daddy & Granddaddy “tried” hunting Turkeys all day. Ha. (they didn’t get one)…. I helped cleaned out Tammy’s pool, drained it, leveled dirt underneath then filled it back up. The kids played in the mud/water the whole time while we tended to the pool. Hunter had a blast playing in all that water.

cleaning the pool butt naked.. .Ha!
Sunday we went to church. Came home, had our evening nap. Ha. Then we went to Tammy’s that evening to eat dinner for the birthday lady, my Mother-n-Law. Her birthday was Saturday but we celebrated Sunday. We had a great evening with family and my mother-n-law got some great gifts.
Happy Birthday Katherine!!! :)

What a weekend right?!? I have to say this was the best weekend for me yet! Can’t wait for other weekends like this to come!!!

Shaved Head

Last weekend Hunter got a brand new hair cut for the Spring/Summer time. I never got to post about it last week so figured I'd make this my Monday post. His hair was getting out of control with all them thick curls and I was tired of trying to maintain it early in the mornings before school, especially with agrouchy 2 year old. :) I'm sure it feels a LOT cooler for him. I'm not too wild about the shaved head, but I suppose It's hair and it will grow back.

we gave him a mohawk for the time being, he wasn't too happy.

and here is the final masterpiece.. along with an un happy child picking the hairs out of his nose. =)

Poor guy, I felt bad for him with all that hair all over him.

Hot Date Night with the Hubby...

It felt like we were dating all over again...

I'll never forget our mini get away from this past weekend. Wayne & I had the most fun we've had in a long time celebrating our 3 year Anniversary. It started off Friday night when we arrived to our Hotel in Mt. Pleasant., checked into the room around 5 and unpacked most of our things. Then we were starving so we went to the restaurant... California Dreaming in James Island. It was the most romantic night eating dinner with my love. We were seated right next to the beautiful water. After an hour & lots of $ spent later, we headed down town Charleston to walk around. We spent most of the night caught up in each others conversation relaxing at the Market St. Saloon.

We had a blast & I loved every minute of it!!!

(just a few pics of the two of us, Ha)

I absolutely LOVE this last pic of us & my hair looked AMAZING. Ha!

Saturday morning we got to sleep in.... YES,Finally. =)

We lounged around most of the morning until check out time @ 11. Before headed home we walked the new Aurthur Ravenel Bridge in Mt. Pleasant for the first time. It was a lot of fun & very windy. Ha. But it was extremely nice looking out into the water & seeing all those boats. Made me want to go fishing. :D

Couple of photos I took...

You see how windy it was by my hair, right?

Of course we couldn't let one minute go by and not think of our little Tootabugs. We were thinking of all the things he would have said a million times while on the bridge and Wayne & I would say things like "tractor daddy" to each other every time we saw something that reminded us of hi. We missed him while gone for the night but boy it sure was relaxing for the time being. Besides, we new he was having a blast anyways while his cousins had a sleep over with him for the first time and he could probably care less whether we were there or not. Ha! Thanks to Nanny & G-daddy for watching him for us, or shall I say Thanks Melina. =) We are so blessed to have them in our lives.

After walking the bridge, we went out to eat for lunch then went into Tuesday Morning (like a consignment store) and bought Hunter a few things. We couldn't resist not bringing him home something. Guess It's one of those things about being an only child & spoiling him to death every time u walk into the store. =)

Felt good to be home, I guess. Haha. Took a nap that evening along with little man, then played outside for the evening.

Sunday we went to church then did a WHOLE LOT OF NOTHING! Just my kind of Sunday.
