Slacker! :)

I've been a slacker at writing anything on my blog lately. I've just had so much work to do & have a lot on my mind for the month of August. Wait did I say August, It's already here?!! Man, where did the time go?!?

Huge plans!

For instance, I'm having such a great time planning for my sons first B-day party! I've already got the cake ordered, party supplies are arriving in mail, invitations are complete, etc...
This is just too much excitement for us. I know, I know I've said this a thousand times. :)
I have the whole month of August completely booked with things to do.
Mom's coming in from Texas for two weeks, hunting season starts, my son starts day care, big party for my special man, beach, water parks, & so much more. I'm already wishing it was September so I can just relax, just kidding! :)

I'm so excited for this weekend because as you all know or may not know but Thursdays are my Fridays! That's right no work for 3 days...ah, I love my job! :) Anyways, Beach with SIL on Friday (thanks to Nanny for keeping Hunter while I soak up some sun), Saturday we're headed to Florence, SC for a Pee Dee Classic Deer Expo, (for those of you who don't know what that is, all kinds of hunting gear/sports), and on Sunday after church we're headed to ToyRus to pick out our little toota bug a gift for his birthday. Some where in that time we're squeezing in a 1st hair cut for my son. Lord knows he needs one. The fun part is picking his gift out, because we don't have too many ideas right now, any advise?

So those are my plans for the weekend, busy, busy, busy! We were going to try having another yard sale, but decided we better wait another couple weeks because there's so much happening this month.
-------
Hunter has learned quite a few new things.. he can almost say "deer", I know I've mentioned this in one of my past post. It actually sounds like "die" but he'll get the hang of it. We're also teaching him to say "pow", as in shoot the deer, (don't read my blog if you get discouraged about my post). Well here's a video to prove my boy know his deer & going to shoot one, one day!
(sorry it's upside down or side ways)

TURN YOUR VOLUME UP VERY LOUD SO YOU CAN HERE!!!

See..he's learning! :)

He also took 5 steps for me & his Nanny last night. I'm so proud of him.
He has these fake moments with his cries too, like, it sounds like he's saying something but actually "fake" crying. I can't really explain it, I'll have to video tape it one day. But it's just too cute & funny.
No more bottles!!! I've been starting him on whole milk for the past week. His Dr. said it would be fine to give it to him since he's almost one. So I've been giving it to him in his sippy cups during the day, & night. My SIL who keeps him, said he didn't have a bottle all day yesterday or today so far. I've got a feeling this might be too easy, for now!
He says he's a big boy now, who needs bottles! :)

Just thought I'd share these precious milestones!
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend & Please continue to keep baby Stellan in your prayers! Thanks God Bless

I ♥ faces/ Beach Week

This is actually my second time joining the fun at I ♥ faces. This weeks theme was "at the Beach". I took Hunter to the Beach back in May and he absolutely loved it! It was a hassel but we had fun.

Yard Sale Weekend

Thanks for all the comments about my Yard Sale. It actually didn't go so bad, considering our neighbor had a Yard Sale as well. I posted up my signs on Friday, as I was posting a sign down the road, my neighbor told me they were having one as well. I thought to myself, Oh great this will be good & kinda bad. Well, thanks to them, they took most of our business on Saturday! Basically we posted our signs for there yard sale. We didn't have near as much business as they did, because there house was at the entrance of our neighbor hood & ours was further down the road. Some just drove on by, & turned around, didn't even get out to look, because they saw all my baby stuff. Uh, hello we have other things we're selling too people! We did sale $70 dollars worth of stuff. I sold all of Hunter's baby clothes for $40. Yea, I know, I wanted more but they were about to leave, so I wanted to make a good offer for them to buy them. Over all not too bad. None of my baby gear (walker, car seat, etc.) sold, & I thought it was pretty cheap. Anyways, my SIL & I are going to set up at our local Flea Market this Saturday & see what we can sell out there. If nothing else, I'm just going to sell it by web or to a baby store.

On a better note, all of the John Deere party supplies was in stock for Hunter's B-day this morning, so I ordered it. It should be in by next week. Wayne & I are headed to Toysrus this weekend to look for a gift for our little guy. We can't wait. I already bought him the cutest little boots ever! :) Mossy Oak Camo Boots for $12 bucks at Wally-World! What a great deal! He'll be all set for Hunting Season in August!!! :)

Sh... don't tell him! :)

-----

After a long hot day of Yard Selling, my MIL, SIL and I went out to dinner and a movie. It was really nice to enjoy the evening relaxed with no babies/kids! Then Sunday after church we visited my granny back home. It was good to see her & eat some good southern country cooken! She always makes the best foods!

I do have to add this in for my weekend.... Hunter is actually starting to listen & understand things. What I mean.... well Wayne & I have a bedroom full of nature, I mean it when I say it (I'll take pictures to show you all later), but we have 3 mounted deer heads above our bed & computer desk. I sat Hunter on our bed and sat there for 10 minutes or so, teaching and pointing out each deer. Every deer head I would point to, he would look directly at, then he would mutter "dur". Seriously I thought this was the cutest thing. My son is actually starting to learn new things. (this is new & exciting for me, I know all you other mom's out there has been there too at one point) :) Then as we went to my Granny's house she has two deer heads on her wall too, & I asked Hunter, "Where is the deer," he looked & pointed, "Dur". He,he! ~What a sweet heart~ ♥

Hope you all had a great weekend & week to come! God Bless!

Yard Sale

I have been preparing for my first Yard Sale for a little over a week now. I called out of work yesterday because I wasn't feeling so well, and took the time then to go threw some of the stuff I was preparing to sell on Saturday. Let me tell you, I didn't realize how much time & effort it takes to prepare for a yard sale! My husband & I have been planning ways to come up with money, & thought this would be perfect. I am actually selling all of Hunter's clothes, swing, toys, etc., besides of course the things that mean the most to us. I have a few things of ours we're going to try selling too. It seems like everyone we have told about selling his baby stuff tells us we shouldn't. Because once we've sold it, I'll end up pregnant again. Good grief, I would hope not! At least let us enjoy our first baby boy! :) I hope we don't get jinks, ha.

I have most of everything tagged with prices, I just have one more bin of clothes to go threw & I should be done. I made Yard Sale signs last night to put up this evening. I'm praying we will have a great success in selling most of it.

Whatever money we come up with will be all for Hunter's birthday! I'm ordering his party supplies off Web today & I can't wait for it to arrive. This is just so exciting planning for his birthday party.

We went to the tractor store yesterday evening & saw the perfect shirt for me to where for Hunter's party. Since he will be wearing his John Deere shirt, & I told everyone else if they had one to wear it. I bought me a green shirt with wording in the front that says, " Will Trade Husband for Tractor", ha, is that not cute! :) My husband didn't care too much for it, but I didn't see why not!

This is what else we ran into that Hunter thought was the perfect gift daddy could ever get him for his 1st Birthday. Or would it be Daddy's?!?

Yea Right! Maybe in your future dreams son! :)

When-Why-Where

When did my son stop becoming a baby & turned into a big boy? I don't know!
Lately I have noticed a HUGE change in my son. When I say HUGE, I mean it! You take something away from him and he just freaks out, screams, throw his head back & gives you all kind of an attitude. He throws EVERYTHING that's in his hands. Ok, so we taught him how to throw ball, not food, or a cup filled with water from bath tub, not toys, etc. He has a mouth on him & he'll let you know if things don't go his way. He gets into ANYTHING & EVERYTHING and he hasn't even started walking yet. Oh Brother, what have we got our selves into!?!
---
Why does he have to grow up? My son used to be so tiny, slept so peacefully, didn't bother anyone, just whined like a little sweet baby for mommy to feed him.
---
Where did the time go? My son will be 1 next month! It's just too hard to believe.
I'm sure we all ask these questions from time to time.
When-Why-Where
It's sad to see your babies grow, but exciting at the same time! But only God knows these answers.
-----
This is a sweet picture I took over the weekend of my baby. This blanket he is laying with was Daddy's baby blanket. It's a little old & torn but so sweet to see that our son has it now.

Daddy took him for a ride on the lawn mower, he thought he was special
& he is in our eyes! :)
------
As I said Hunter's Birthday will be here next month, so I've been planing for a couple of weeks now. I have his theme party picked out. We were thinking camo at first, but I didn't like it, so we are going to do a John Deere Tractor party. I'm super excited!!! I can't wait for his birthday party! This will be my first EVER planned birthday party, so please pray that things go well. :) On top of that my mom is coming home from Texas for two weeks for his Birthday. My mom hasn't seen him but once since he was born. That was last Thanksgiving & he was only 3 months old. I feel so bad that my mom can't watch her 1st grandchild grow up. I hate that she can't be here. I miss her so much & can't wait for her to see Hunter! I'm sure she will fall in love! ♥

Hope you all have a blessed week!

Happy Birthday Tammy

Let me first start by saying I have been a bit lazy & busy posting anything on my blog. I have lots of things I have to tell you all, (for those of you who read my blog) so please bare with me on this LONG post. I'll start off with this............... Happy Birthday Tammy! :)

My SIL turned 32 yesterday & we had her a little party/get together with family.

Hunter got his Aunt Tammy a cute B-day card for her birthday...with drool :)Sister & Brother....My all time Favorite photo of the two ♥

We ate spaghetti for her birthday, with cake & ice cream. Everything was yummy!

-------
Wayne & I got a phone call last week from two different day cares. We had Hunter's name on a waiting list for a few months now, and to my surprise they had an opening. The first day care was a new one that just opened not too long ago called Toy Box. Then we had another one that was at a local church/school at St. Luke's Lutheran Church. We had little time to decide witch daycare would be best for Hunter. Toy Box called & said they had an opening that needed to be filled ASAP, the next week. I was blown away on what to do. I had an appointment with St. Luke's on Friday but it was only Tuesday & Toy Box needed an answer.

So I called and made an appointment to view both daycare's that Tuesday. I had to get off work early.

Wayne & I had already thought that Toy Box would be the one we chose because of the hours 6 -6:30. But I told Wayne we really need to visit both of them.

Thankfully the lord was with us when we decided that day!!! We looked at St. Luke's first, and I absolutely fell in love with it! There is only six children per room, they supply snacks & cook lunch, there's a schedule printed each week for what your child eats, every thing's colored coordinated for each child, they have a kitchen for lunch, a play ground, they teach your child, & has a paper filled out at the end of the day about your child & what they've done that day! The people were really friendly, completely understanding, very clean. Then we headed to Toy Box..... we met with the lady who owned the building, she told us they didn't have a hand out for us to go by until the next week (the week he would start), she took us down the halls to look into the rooms. She started explaining the room he would be in & went on to the next room, etc. The whole entire time this lady is speaking to the "Floor" she never looked at us not once! I started to ask a question about the room my son would be in & she stops me "Please let me finish talking before you ask Questions!" Excuse me!?! Ugh...this day care was already a turn off. Then she took me in the room Hunter would be in. The young worker who was watching the babies room started telling me about there daily routine. Mind you this girl is only between the ages of 18-21, (nothing against young daycare workers). She stated that there is 12 yes, 12, babies in this one room, with two workers, "uh, no", (I thought that was illegal). No lunch provided, have to bring your own, they can't go out side until there 2, (so basically they treat them like a baby). The only good thing we liked was the front door, you had to punch in your own code when you come in the building. And that was it! Wayne & I both agreed St. Luke's was SO much better. Also I know how much you love to here me complain, he,he, but the room that Hunter would be in at Toy Box was small, they had like 6 cribs in there, and a tiny space for them to play. Oh NO!!! I'm so thankful we got to view each day care!
Despise what time St. Luke's opens, at 7, we chose that day care. This is a huge move for us & our little one. We're both excited & nervous at the same time. It also gives him the opportunity to communicate with other babies & learn new & exciting things. It also gives mommy & daddy a day of rest on Friday's. (we both have Friday's off, so we can take him to daycare if we wanted to) His first day starts on August 17th. We can't wait!
If your wondering about Hunter's baby sitter, well, my SIL was thinking about going back to work once her youngest started school this year. So this will be a great opportunity to start working, & have a break from her children.
-------
Friday Hunter had a check up for his ears at his doctor. Everything went well, he's all cleared now. The nurse weighed him & he weighs 25.6 lbs now. He's a big monster.
He was into everything while we waited to see the doctor.
He was sitting on the Dr. chair
------
Hunter got his first taste of mommy's bagel. :)
of course he loved it!

That pretty much sum's up my weekend!

Trying to Walk (video)

My little man is doing so well with his new walking skills. At least he is "Trying" to walk.

He was being silly in this video. Every time he would start to walk, he would get so tickled, laugh & then fall. I love it! ♥

-------

Another skill my baby has learned is throwing the ball. He actually was playing ball with daddy the other night. It was so cute. I'll have to get my video camera out for that one.

~Fantastic Weekend~

This weekend was full of excitement for us. We started off on Thursday visiting family in Mt.Pleasant. Actually it's Wayne's family, but they rented a beautiful Condo near the beach. I absolutely loved the condo, it was nothing but a complete two story house full of beach themes. We took the kids down to the pool for a swim. The pool was also very nice.
took a ride on the whale :)
Hunter & his Uncle Sonny swimming

After a swim, we all went out to dinner at Gilligan's with the family. The view was over a nice lake. It was beautiful & we had a great time with the family.

monkey in the tree---------
Friday & Saturday we didn't do a whole lot. Hunter was invited to a birthday party on Saturday evening. My friends daughter Audrey, had her birthday party @ 6. We went to that, and had lots of fun. It was a bit hecktic though trying to take care of tootabugs, he was a bit of a grouch because of sleepiness! :)
---------
Sunday we skipped church, (I know shame on us), we went to the water park on James Island. We had tones of fun, & it was so gorgeous outside. The kids really enjoyed themselves.
----------
And to my suprise Hunter has recieved 2 more teeth coming in. On top left. That makes 9 for him! :) 5 on top, 4 on bottom! He looks too cute when he smiles too! :)

"Little Red Wagon"

My husband was grilling out on the back deck this past week, & found a new toy for Hunter to play with. He found this small red wagon, & thought it was perfect for Hunter to play with. (It was actually an old wagon that my niece had when she was young, but it never was used.) Hunter loved thie wagon! ♥ My husband said he would just laugh & smile! :)
I told Wayne we need to get him something he can ride around in that he might enjoy. Maybe for his birthday! :)
I took the words from Jason Aldaen's song "Big Green Tractor" (click to listen) & turned it into "Little Red Wagon." If you listen to country music, then you may know what I'm talking about! I love that song!
look at him go
---------

On another note, my husband sent me this picture this morning. Yea, my son is naked at 6:50 in the morning. I asked my husband if he did this by himself, he said yes. Uh oh, we're in trouble now. :) He also took his pants off the night before. Silly little boy.
