Easter 2011

(this post is a little late)

What a Glorious weekend we had knowing that our Savior Jesus Christ died and rose from the grave for our sins!

I hope each of you had a wonderful Easter!

Friday we spent the whole day inside due to rainy weather.

Saturday turned out to be beautiful. We spent the morning at the park playing on the playground, then dyed Easter Eggs and napped. That evening we went to a different park to take a few good Easter pictures of little man. We got a few but he wasn't in the mood to take many. I loved how some of them turned out.

he made a huge mess.

Sunday we had a wonderful service at church. Took a late nap, ate dinner with Wayne's family then went back to church that evening for our Church's Passion Play they have each year about Jesus Christ Resurrection.

Our family Easter pictures.

Hunter's Easter basket Mommy & Daddy the Easter bunny got him

I have lots to catch up on. Been kind of behind lately due to work and my husband's surgery. Which I will talk about later.

Hope ya'll have a great weekend!!

Southern Cutie

Riding dirty ya'll.
Look out ladies, future stud muffin. He's Country as Country is and will tell ya
how it is. You like hunting, fishing, riding wheelers, trucks, playing
ball, gettin' dirty and going to church, then you've found your lil Southern
Cutie. Ha!
Mommy says I can be a little ruff but I promise ya I have a sweet side.

This will be the day, I can just see it now. But we all know he's Mommy's
Southern Cutie before any other little girl and I have a few years before I
will let him go. ♥

Easter Egg Hunt ~ Weekend Recap

I want to Thank all of you ladies who made a comment on my last post! It means a lot to me when I see that I have so much love coming from women I've never even met before but can be here for me through the ruff times. Your words have encouraged me & I'm feeling the best I've felt in a while thanks to the good Lord up above. ♥
~

On Friday our church held an Easter Egg hunt for all the pre-schoolers at our local park. Thankfully I already had the day off for Hunter to attend, and I'm glad we went. While we waited for everyone to arrive we had some fun playing on the play ground. Hunter wore his new Easter Egg shirt Mommy made him. :) There were also activities for the children to do, like getting there face painted.

"See Mommy." I just A-D-O-R-E this picture.

Then it was time for the Easter Egg hunt.

After hunting for eggs and winning a cool prize, he got to meet a friendly clown who told all about Easter and made really neat balloons for the children. Hunter looked a litte nervous. Ha.

See that smirk. Gotta love it.
Hunter had an awesome time and really enjoyed himself. He crashed as soon as we got home. :)

Friday evening after Hunter's nap, his Aunt Tammy picked him up from the house and he got to spend the evening with his cousins. He also got to spend his first night away from Mommy & Daddy. His Aunt Tammy & Uncle Bubbie offered to keep him over night while we went hunting Saturday morning. I have to say it sure was nice and peaceful with him not being home. He did very good sleeping all night and woke them up bright and early at 6 o'clock. Ha. While Daddy & I decided to just sleep in that morning instead of hunt, and we didn't roll out the bed until 11 o'clock. I couldn't believe that, but it sure felt amazing to lounge in bed most of the morning. :) Haven't done that in a LONG time!! We were starting to miss him just a little bit, ha, so we picked him up and he was so happy to see us but he was also very EXHAUSTED. so he passed out right before we got home.

Climbing in the trees with his cousins.

Monkey's swinging in the tree, oops I mean Melina & Darren. =)

While Hunter was napping, I made this Beautiful Easter wreath. This was my first time attempting to make something like this, I've always enjoyed making crafty things and said I'd give it a try. My wreath turned out so cute & I was very pleased with the out come. Spending only a little less than $5 makes for a great decoration for your home or gift.

Sunday was a VERY stressful day. My son didn't want to listen to me AT ALL that morning!! He made me so stressed out while getting ready for church & teaching his Sunday School class (which I will NEVER teach his class again) that I didn't stay for church. I know that's not an excuse but I didn't feel like I would go into church very angry. I seriously had a nervous break down. I didn't realize how difficult it would be to raise a 2 year old! Potty training, the tantrums, the back talk, the hitting, not listening!!! Geez you'd think we didn't discipline him huh?!? Ya'll he was driving me crazy. After all this, I learned to back down from potty training for a while until he's ready, and cool off before approaching him. I'm a much happier Mommy after I read a bunch of topics on other family's 2 year old's.

Of course he ended up being sweet that Sunday evening. He got to ride his four wheeler and did a few mud slides in the yard. Looking sweet and innocent. Ha. :)

That raps up our weekend! Ya'll have a wonderful week. Short work week for me, work three days, off for four!! Thank God for a wonderful job and this coming Good Friday!!! Wink ;)

This is what you get when...

You purchase from Etsy...

An ADORABLE little boy wearing the most PRECIOUS Tee Shirts!!!

(sorry the pictures so blurry)

A few weeks ago I told ya'll I made my first purchase off of Etsy... I got my order in last week and I was soo HAPPY with my purchase because it made a wonderful Easter gift for Hunter.

Check out what I came up wiith...

With a few minutes of my time ironing these appliques onto four brand new tees I bought and a little bit of stitch along the sides , they turned out great and made for a great gift for my little guy.

I put a camouflage tie on the orange tee shirt, Easter tie on teal shirt, Hunter's name in camouflage on brown Tee and a cute Blue polka dot Easter egg on a green tee with his initial.

I just LOVE the way they turned out.

~

Not Good Enough

Have you ever felt like you weren't good enough?
Felt left out because you weren't smart enough?
Pretty enough?
Popular enough?
Interesting enough?
Rich enough?
Everyone see's your mistakes but never compliments you on the good?
Your the follower and not the leader.

I'm that person today!

My whole life all I've wanted to be was that person someone would love to look
up to. Someone that didn't have to worry if that other person was talking about
them. Someone who's calling out "I'm right here do you see me." Someone who can get along with everyone.

I'm tired of feeling ignored. I feel like I do so much for so many others that I
get nothing back. I'm like a bump in the road.

I watch so many other people have all these wonderful friendships and wonder why
can't I be popular and have friends like that.

I just feel like crying right now and I really don't know why.
I have no reason to be feeling this way because I know that I'm loved by many
but sometimes I don't hear it or see it enough.

Your probably shocked to see this coming from me right?

I know what I need to do. I need to stop worrying about what so many other
people are doing, and what they think of me and focus on myself and family.
Get down on my knees and pray. Ya'll my heart has drifted away from having a
personal relationship with the Lord. I pray but have no meaning behind it it
seems like. I don't read my bible nearly as much as I should. I've drifted
farther away from my church friends who I know will pick me back up. I need
forgiveness, maybe redemption. I read so many other encouraging blogs and want to
have that relationship with Christ like they do but I never try hard enough. I
said this year I wanted to have a stronger walk with God and I've failed so
far...
And to be honest I've felt like I've lost a lot of my blogging friends and don't
know why. I know I write everyday for my son and son alone but sometimes I like
to know other mommy's are reading. I know we all get busy and find it hard to
write a comment a time or two but It makes me feel good to know I have readers.
I know ya'll are probably thinking I am some physco chick. But this is truly how
I feel.

I guess I get a little too desperate for love and friendship that I go overboard
sometimes. It's in my blood though and I feel like there's no changing that.

My heart is in desperate need of a change!
I hope by me writing this didn't make me be a physco crazy blogger.. I just
needed to relieve some stress that were placed on my heart and felt like my blog
was the best place to do so.

If you read this, please say a prayer for me, I'd appreciate it. ♥

Zoo Trip

We had a really fun weekend with BEAUTIFUL weather.
Saturday was the Charleston Air Show, we didn't go because It's always crowded but we were in Charleston to pick up a part for my car, and while at the Northern Tool we sat outside on the tractors and watched some of the airplanes. Hunter was so tickled he loved watching them. We said maybe next year we'll take him when he's a little older.

Rocking Mommy's sunshades because the sun was too bright for him to look up in the sky. :)

Sunday Wayne & I took Hunter to the Columbia Riverbank Zoo. He hasn't been since he was a few months old so we figured now would be a good time to take him again. He really enjoyed seeing all the animals but most of all he was more interested in the choo choo train, the "hay hay" (horsey), and water. He started to get a a little fussy towards the end of our zoo trip and wasn't a good listener. Made Mommy & Daddy get a little frustrated but over all we had a good time. A few photos from the Zoo.
(Excuse the picture overload)

He loved the choo choo train the most I think, he had to ride it twice.
his first horse ride... as he calls it Hay hay. Ha.

(don't ask me what that pose is all about)

Our only family picture together and we waited til the end of the day... not so good. Take a good look at how mean our son looked. He wasn't very happy & was ready for a nap.
