15 Months

My baby is 15 months today. My how time is flying. Son you have made mommy & daddy so proud. You finally said "mama" last Thursday on our vacation (pictures to come), and hasn't stopped yet. You blew so many kisses my way this past weekend and you have learned to give kisses. Your learning to turn door knobs, and climbing on just about everything. You have started running so mommy can chase you all around. Your quite the helper around the house, sweeps, mops, wipes tables, washes your body at times, and has even raked the yard. Mommy cut your hair in the bathtub for the 1st time, not so perfect but will do. You light up our lives son. We love you dearly and hope to continue seeing the best in you.

Mini Vacation/Doorknobs, BBD and such

It's been a while since I've had time to catch up on reading any one's blog and myself have been a bit slack at posting. I cannot find my usb cable to upload photos at this time so I'll have to settle with what I got for now. Please forgive me and don't give up on me, I will catch up one day!

This week has been a busy one for me. Today is my last day at work for this week. We're headed to TN in the morning. I'm so excited!!! It's been a while since we've gone on a vacation, and this will be our first with little man, so pray for us that everything goes well. We're all (my Granny, MIL, SIL, etc) staying in a motel in Pigeon Forge til Sunday. I have never been to the mountains in the fall so I just know it will be beautiful. Definitely expect plenty of pictures to come.

My son has accomplished a few things in the past 2 weeks, for instance he can reach the door knobs in the house now. He hasn't quite figured out how to turn them yet, but so close (oh brother). He can put one leg up on the bath tub to get in, but can't quite pull his weight up. He's definitely climbing into everything now, toy box, on changing table, etc. Crazy! :)

Onto other news, well gals I finally killed me a buck! As Lee & Tiffany Lakosky would say "BBD" (big buck down)! Well It's not the biggest but my tiny 8 point will just do for me for this year! I was so proud of myself it was unbelievable! I jumped for rejoice.

(I didn't have my camera with me at the time so I had to take it without head. :))
I hope you all have a wonderful week/weekend! I will be back next Tuesday to work, then off til the following Monday! Super excited my birthday is next Wednesday & some good eaten on Turkey day!!! :)

xoxo Kim & H! ♥

Wolf! He's Got a New Friend

A couple of weeks ago my mother-n-law found this precious stuffed wolf for our son. I can't recall where she bought it from, but I have to say I believe It's Hunter's security. I We Named him REX!!! It is so soft and fluffy. He wont go anywhere without it now. I just think that's the sweetest thing. I love the fact that we found his special "security" that he can hold onto. You know every baby has to have one. Whenever I pick him up in my arms, I give him Rex, and he lye's his head on him as a pillow on my chest. It's so adorable. Makes me smile when I see him with it. See for yourself.....

this bottom pic cracked me up

My husband had a special blanket when he was a baby and that same blanket is in fairly good condition. We decided to pass it on to Hunter, so maybe he can pass it onto his babies "one day". It would be a great legend type thing. We tried letting him hold onto his Binky for security/comfort, but he didn't love it as much as he has Rex!
Did any of you ladies or your family have a special comfort/security that you carried around everywhere you went as a baby? Please do tell!
(I cannot recall that I had anything, I'd have to ask my mom. :)
Update/sidenote: I found out today while Hunter got dropped off by my friend, she said, he walked across the room, laid his head on the floor with Rex and started whimpering. Poor baby. His teacher, Miss Tara, said he doesn't go anywhere in the room without it. Tara said that he always has to have it even when he’s playing. If he doesn’t have it, he will go around looking for it. How precious is that. That made my day when she told me this. Such a sweet boy! ♥

Birthday/Christmas List

Dear to whomever this letter concerns too,

I've been wanting/needing a lot of things lately and have come to the conclusion I just better keep on a dreaming because I can't have everything I want. So here is my "wish" list of things I'd like to have some day.....

I've seen Fire Proof twice and absolutely LOVE it, and want to some day OWN it! As well as, The Love Dare! I've heard lots of women tell me that this is a VERY great book and suggested it to all married couples. I can't wait to get my hands on this...

I need want this cute Knit sweater for when I go to church on Sunday's wearing a short sleeve dress I wont freeze to death.

I'd also like to have a long sleeve dress for the upcoming winter.

I would love to have a new purse, as if I don't already own 3 other one's, I get tired of carrying the same ole' purse everywhere I go

Even though it doesn't get near as cold in the South as other states, I'd still like to have me a cute black & maybe other color scarf, there cute.

these would be nice!
What girl wouldn't like a Claire's gift card?!? I really need some new earrings!
I've had a bad habit of drinking coffee all the time, and need a cute coffee cup to keep my coffee hot in

Any lady could use a good pair of new jeans, I know I sure do!

I'd also like to have a new layout for my blog! Someone who know's what there doing like, Kelly! :)

There's also lots of other things that I really do need, for instance:
  • socks
  • undies/bra's
  • sleeping jammie's/shorts
  • guy's wife beaters (I love sleeping in them)

And that just about wraps things up. I guess we all have our days of wants and needs and today my friends is that day. I wrote this list out for exchange of my husbands list, hoping he'll at least get one thing right. (you know how guys are sometimes) WiNk! ;)

Fair Weekend

Wayne and I had a great night at the fair Thursday night. I got up and close with this beautiful country singer, Julianne Hough. You may recognize her from Dancing With The Stars as well. She rocked a great concert! She waved at me in the picture underneath and she even tweeted me that night! Ha! ♥

Me & hubby. ;)

Friday morning I got up at 4 a.m to go hunt in the tree stand. IT WAS FREEZING!!! Lets just say I was VERY upset after shooting at a nice buck that morning. I missed! :( It broke my heart. I prayed about it, new it was going to be a great morning, then completely blew my chance. I got "buck fever" as some folks call it. I didn't take my time that morning and just wanted to kill this buck but I missed. We looked for blood and there was nothing. I new I had missed after I even shot. Crazy! Anyways, my husband ended up killing a nice one that night. A 9 point! He actually killed a button buck early that day, then about an hour later killed the 9 pt. He was happy and so was I.
Mean while Saturday morning I was getting dressed to head over to my granny's house, and all of a sudden I here my son crying. He was playing with his lawnmower we had bought him. I picked him up to see what was wrong, thought he'd be okay, until I saw blood. He ended up busting his upper lip called Frenulum, that part inside of mouth where it bleeds forever. It scared me but he ended up being okay. I felt sorry for him. That was his first blood incident.
Before I forget, last week his daycare teacher said he said the word "bubbles". Hurray my baby is learning so quickly. I also heard him say "Granddaddy" while sitting in his highchair one evening. Wont be long and he'll be jabbering away.

I picked up my granny Saturday to head into town to see my brother. He just moved into a new apartment and she hadn't seen it yet so I figured we could stop by. He cooked us lunch, which was sweet of him. After that we headed to AC Moore. I had to pick out a few scrapbooking items for my mom's Christmas. I plan on making a scrapbook of her and Hunter since she doesn't get to see him very often. I think she's going to love it. Now I just need to get some photos printed out and come up with the design etc. then I can have it ready for her by Christmas.
I am patiently counting down the days til Vacation. Next week Thursday we head out to Tennessee! I am super excited. Hope things go as planned with weather and all.
Hope you all have a great week. ♥

Hunting Trip @ Plantation

You ladies probably could care less about hunting and the great outdoors, but It's our passion! Anyways, we went hunting Friday evening at a plantation in Walterboro. It's pronounced like Don't ya know, but Deux Cheneaux Plantation. Over all our trip wasn't the most greatest of all. We didn't see anything!!! Granted there are lots of deer at this plantation (seen it before) but the moon and weather had these deer screwed up last weekend. Go figure the way our luck has been this year! But we did have a beautiful place to stay while we were there.

Check it out...

once you walk into the lodge
Our bedroom we stayed in for the night
Kitchen w/ a bar set up

some of the trophies that had been killed
in the back of the lodge they had a swamp (several of them) & board walk
oh and Gators :)
this was the stand I hunted in, filled with corn and field peas

Ladies, now wasn't that beautiful??? lol :)
It was a horrible weekend for hunting. I did see lots of turkey's but that's about it. We sure did appreciate the good dinner and stay. Just wish we could have had better luck. :(
Tomorrow morning I'll be headed in the tree stand to hunt. Hoping to see something! Hope all you gals have a wonderful weekend.
