Memorial Weekend

We had a wonderful Memorial weekend. Thursday night the hubby & I went to the movies to see Pirates of the Caribbean 4. It was an awesome movie! Friday was my clean up day.

Saturday my SIL & I took the kidos to the Lake/Beach. We left early morning, and were the first beach bums there. Ha. It was very relaxing & the kids LOVED it. We'll def. be taking them back soon!

Sunday we took the kids to my SIL's hunting club & we all road four wheelers around all evening. Hunter was so tickled to be at the hunting club, he loved every bit of it. We road for 4 hrs and got home at 10:30. Late night! :)

Monday we slept in til 9 & it felt GREAT! Ha! We got up & took tootabugs to the store & bought him a new pool. The one he had, had a slow leak so we got him an even bigger one. We blew it up for him & him & his cousins got to swim all evening. We later ate hamburgers & hot dogs with the family.

It was a very nice long weekend spent with family & sleeping in late! :)

And on top of all that... my baby boy wore his "Big boy" underwear ALL WEEKEND LONG, and at night time with NO ACCIDENTS!! (dispite him having to go #2 in his pull up when he tells me he has to "poo") We're so VERY PROUD of him!!! Keep it up Baby Boy!

Easter Egg Hunt ~ Weekend Recap

I want to Thank all of you ladies who made a comment on my last post! It means a lot to me when I see that I have so much love coming from women I've never even met before but can be here for me through the ruff times. Your words have encouraged me & I'm feeling the best I've felt in a while thanks to the good Lord up above. ♥
~

On Friday our church held an Easter Egg hunt for all the pre-schoolers at our local park. Thankfully I already had the day off for Hunter to attend, and I'm glad we went. While we waited for everyone to arrive we had some fun playing on the play ground. Hunter wore his new Easter Egg shirt Mommy made him. :) There were also activities for the children to do, like getting there face painted.

"See Mommy." I just A-D-O-R-E this picture.

Then it was time for the Easter Egg hunt.

After hunting for eggs and winning a cool prize, he got to meet a friendly clown who told all about Easter and made really neat balloons for the children. Hunter looked a litte nervous. Ha.

See that smirk. Gotta love it.
Hunter had an awesome time and really enjoyed himself. He crashed as soon as we got home. :)

Friday evening after Hunter's nap, his Aunt Tammy picked him up from the house and he got to spend the evening with his cousins. He also got to spend his first night away from Mommy & Daddy. His Aunt Tammy & Uncle Bubbie offered to keep him over night while we went hunting Saturday morning. I have to say it sure was nice and peaceful with him not being home. He did very good sleeping all night and woke them up bright and early at 6 o'clock. Ha. While Daddy & I decided to just sleep in that morning instead of hunt, and we didn't roll out the bed until 11 o'clock. I couldn't believe that, but it sure felt amazing to lounge in bed most of the morning. :) Haven't done that in a LONG time!! We were starting to miss him just a little bit, ha, so we picked him up and he was so happy to see us but he was also very EXHAUSTED. so he passed out right before we got home.

Climbing in the trees with his cousins.

Monkey's swinging in the tree, oops I mean Melina & Darren. =)

While Hunter was napping, I made this Beautiful Easter wreath. This was my first time attempting to make something like this, I've always enjoyed making crafty things and said I'd give it a try. My wreath turned out so cute & I was very pleased with the out come. Spending only a little less than $5 makes for a great decoration for your home or gift.

Sunday was a VERY stressful day. My son didn't want to listen to me AT ALL that morning!! He made me so stressed out while getting ready for church & teaching his Sunday School class (which I will NEVER teach his class again) that I didn't stay for church. I know that's not an excuse but I didn't feel like I would go into church very angry. I seriously had a nervous break down. I didn't realize how difficult it would be to raise a 2 year old! Potty training, the tantrums, the back talk, the hitting, not listening!!! Geez you'd think we didn't discipline him huh?!? Ya'll he was driving me crazy. After all this, I learned to back down from potty training for a while until he's ready, and cool off before approaching him. I'm a much happier Mommy after I read a bunch of topics on other family's 2 year old's.

Of course he ended up being sweet that Sunday evening. He got to ride his four wheeler and did a few mud slides in the yard. Looking sweet and innocent. Ha. :)

That raps up our weekend! Ya'll have a wonderful week. Short work week for me, work three days, off for four!! Thank God for a wonderful job and this coming Good Friday!!! Wink ;)
