Fun in the Pool

Saturday morning I got up early to clean out Hunter's pool that was disgusting. I haven't been keeping up with it lately, so I drained out the water, and cleaned it really good. As that was filling up Hunter & I went to my friend Jennifer's house, and walked to the park together. We figured we'd start exercising on Saturday mornings to have some kind of motivation on the weekends. Hunter got to swing on the swing for the first time. He loved it.

After, we went home, ate some lunch then headed out into the pool. Daddy was at the hunting club trying to fix a few things for hunting season, so he wasn't there to enjoy the pool with us.

He had a blast in the pool. I'm so glad I cleaned it for him. After daddy came home that evening, we went to Applebees for dinner, then to Low's. Just have to rub this in, when we were at Applebees, there was this elder lady sitting across from us, she says, " He is the sweetest baby, and has a cute smile." Hunter, you get so many compliments everywhere we go son. :)

9 Month Check Up

Hunter went to his doctor on Friday morning, and everything went well. I have been waiting for this day for a while now. He weighs 22lbs, and is 30 1/4 in long. The doctor said he is off the charts for his weight and height, go figure. :) He got two shots in this left leg, and it didn't even bother him but for 5 seconds. He was such a big and good boy. The doctor checked his ears and he had an ear infection, so he prescribed him with a stronger Amoxicillin than he has taken in the past. Hunter's doctor taught me how do discipline Hunter, and teach me the way to say No to him. It was very helpful, pore Hunter got his feelings hurt though, unlike anything I have seen before from him. But he has to know the meaning No when Mommy says so. :)

- After his doctors appointment we went to Goosecreek to visit my friend Erica and her new arrival Leeya. Erica used to be my best friend, we've known each other for 12 years now, and just over the past few year, drifted apart from each other. We all changed and grew apart. I haven't seen her since last April, I think, and that's when I was pregnant with Hunter. Now she's had a baby girl who's now 6 weeks old. I have missed her so much over the years, and I just care so much about her, we were really close at one time. Anyways I went to visit her, and saw Miss Leeya, she is so beautiful. See, she is mixed with Mexican, but is the cutest little thing. She looks like her mamma. It's so crazy how we have grown up to become mothers now, and never pictured this day, Now look at us. :) I enjoyed spending time with her. Hopefully we'll keep in contact a bit more than what we have in the past.

once Erica & I were B.F, now Hunter & Leeya can become B.F

she's so cute

Need a Make Over for Blog.......

I'm thinking about changing a few things on my blog, maybe a new picture up top of Hunter, and a new layout!?! What do you think? I'm just a bit tired of seeing the same ole' thing. I like a change, heck I'm surprised I've kept it for this long! :) Advise would be appreciative! Thanks!

6th tooth

Boy, Hunter's teeth are coming in so quickly all in the month of May! That makes it 4 for this month, and 2 since December. He's really been enjoying table foods here lately. Meats he has had; hamburger, hotdog, meatball, he ♥it! :)
-
I've been meaning to post these photo's of my son for a while now, and haven't gotten around to it. These were taking on April 10th for Easter/Mother's Day!

Work It Out

I have started back exercising again since last week. See, I need someone to help motivate me. My husband doesn't seem to want to get off his butt and help. Anyways, last week I jogged, walked, and road my bicycle for 3 days straight last week, then gave up over the weekend. I am always starting it, but never continuing with it. Its so hard to get myself motivated in the evenings for exercise. My goal is to lose at least 10 lbs or if possible 15! I am weighing in at 142 right now, and my previous weight before I had Hunter was 130, so it would feel really great to get back into a size 7/8 jeans again instead of 11. :)

-

So last night I went to my friend, Jennifer's house to start working out together. I really enjoyed myself. I actually have some one who wants to lose weight, and it helps when you have some one working with you, it motivates you even more. I had Hunter in bed by 7:30, and Wayne stayed at the house to keep an eye on him. Jennifer lives right up the road from us, so this worked out perfect. I got there about 8 and worked out for an hour. I could really feel the difference within that hour of working out. We have planned to do this at least twice threw out the week, and maybe on Saturday mornings too. This is where I have the most trouble working out is on the weekends, so I might just take up Jennifer on that offer for Saturday mornings!

-

Also I have another friend Kim, who lives not too far from me who's been wanting to work out as well. So we are going to get together this weekend and figure out what days we can plan working out together.

-

This will really help me a lot, because I have to work out, if not with one friend but the other. I just hope and pray I can stick with it, and not give up like I always do. Since I have friends to help out though, it should be a piece of cake!

-

Can't wait to see the results at the end of the month!

Main goals where I'd like to lose weight:

  • stomach (I still have a jello like tummy from pregnancy)

  • hips & thighs need to slim down (there huge )

  • my butt definitely needs some work (nothing but a jello flab back there) :)

  • my arms need tightening up (have that loose flab that hangs when you wave,ha)

  • lose 10 lbs!!!!

I can do this, I know I can! I'm going to let God lead the way, and have him take control of my body. Wish me luck! :)

Happy Memorial Day

Wayne & I went to my Granny's for Memorial Day. We stayed there most of the day and enjoyed her country cooking. I finally go to see my dad since about a month. He stopped bye while we were about to eat and ate a little bit of dinner with us. I hardly get to see him much because he is always busy doing something, and I hate that Hunter never gets to see him. I wish sometimes my dad would care a bit more.

We left Granny's around 3:30 and went to friends of ours house for a cook out. I wasn't all that hungry after eating so much at lunch. But we went to Jennifer and Ronnie's house and enjoyed hot dogs and hamburgers off the grill. Later we left and got ready for work the next morning.

9 Months Old

Hunter, today you turned 9 months old, and I can't believe how fast the months go bye. You have grown into a handsome, blond hair, blue eyed, baby boy. You have brought so much joy and happiness into our lives. Words cannot express the love I have for you baby boy. I thank God for blessing us with a very healthy, happy baby boy. Mommy loves you with all her heart! -

Here are a few things you have learned to do since last month....
  • you have started saying "Da,da,ba,ba," and mumbling again (but we can't understand you son)
  • waves bye, bye
  • stands up bye yourself by pulling up on objects for support
  • holds sippy cup & bottle very well
  • starting to eat big boy foods, meats, vegetables, etc.
  • crawls and gets into EVERYTHING now (pulls out dressers, eats anything, etc)
  • walks with support
  • stands in crib, & jibber jabbers out loud, while banging on the crib to wake mommy & daddy up at 6 a.m
  • has bumped his head so many times these past weeks
  • when things don't go your way, you throw your head back and throw a tantrum fit (that's not going to last very long with mommy & daddy)
  • is attached to your momma now (not in a spoiled way, just know his momma =])
  • received 3 top new teeth this month
  • discovered you have a pee, pee, in the bath tub :)
  • had your baby dedication at church

I think that just about sums it up for the month of May. Boy, you have learned so much since last month. Friday you go to your doctor for your check up and more shots. Eek! :( I am excited because you haven't been to the doctor in 3 months and I can't wait to see what they have to say about you! I know there going to think you don't get fed much. Ha! ♥

Sunday was a relaxing day for us. It rained, rained, rained. We went to Tastee-Freeze for lunch. I got a ice cream cone, and Hunter got some too, and loved it. He was a cutie eating it. After that, Wayne & I set up Hunter's pack-n-play in our room, and made sure he had plenty of toys to play with, while we watched a movie together. Hunter was very good. He took a nap during the movie, so we got to finish the whole thing. It's been a while since Wayne & I have enjoyed watching a movie around the house together. Hmm, I wonder why?!? :)

Beach Baby

The weather turned out beautiful for our trip to the beach on Saturday. Tammy & I took the kids to Isla Palms Beach in Mt. Pleasant. We got there about 10 and it was PACKED. I told Tammy that we should have left at 8 to get there early, but she didn't listen.
We did get a good spot though. The tied was low and that gave the kids a little spot to play in the shallow area.
-
Hunter loved the water! He didn't care if that water splashed in his face or not, he just laughed the whole time. I took Hunter to the big waves also, I sat him down in the shallow water, and all of a sudden here comes the water up on the beach and sweeps little Hunter away. Don't worry I grabbed him as soon as he tipped over. He did not like that at all, he cried, so I had to take him back to the shallow part of the beach. PS: I HATE the salty water myself, but got in for Hunter and the kids. He didn't like it when I took him out of the water either. I tried getting some sun but that didn't work so well with a 9 month. I brought Hunter's pack-n-play with me so I could keep him busy in that while I laid out, but of course he didn't want to stay in that. So I sat with him in the sand and played with him.
-
Did I tell you my son loves the taste of SAND!?! He was putting the sand in his mouth every chance he'd get when mommy wasn't watching. Silly boy.
-
Over all the kids had a great time. I do know that this was a big hassle toting everything from the car and back. And I have learned my lesson to not take a 9 month to the beach until he is old enough to know better. I just didn't get to enjoy it as much as I wanted to, and it was a lot of work. Next time Tammy & I are going without the kids. Hopefully.
Hope you enjoy our pictures from the beach!

A little bit of this and that.....

I cannot seem to get in the mood to blog this week or care to look at any other blog for some reason. I don't know what has gotten into me. I do know that I have been slacking at writing everything new that my baby boys has learned, and needs to update more often!

Did I tell you, Hunter can now hold his bottle. He has been doing this for about 2 weeks now. This is such a relief for me. It makes my driving so much easier whenever he is crying at the top of his lungs for a bottle. I used to have to reach back with my right arm, feed him until he is done. Now, I can drive with two hands on the wheel and he's satisfied! Yay!

Bath time has become fun but difficult! Before I could just sit Hunter in his bath tub and he would play with his toys. Now he is trying to grab the water spout to pull him self up, and he is always trying to pull up on the side of the tub. No matter what, he won't play with his toys. He always lays on his tummy in the tub and likes when the water splashes his face from the spout. Of course I try pulling him away, and saying No, but that doesn't work very well. Such fun new stuff we both are learning. Sigh! :)

He's been crawling like a maniac now days too. I can't do anything without having to pull him away or move him back into the room. [chuckle] I just can't wait for Hunter to stop start walking! Gulp!

So much to look forward too. But he makes me smile and is the light of my life from day to day!
----------------
Mean while my MOTHER-N-LAW doesn't care what I have to say, as long as she can see pictures of her grand baby posted up. So here ya go Nanny! I thought you might enjoy a photo taken just weeks before her grand son; Shadow was born! Ha,ha! Ain't he cute! He,he! Love you Nanny! :)
-----------
I am having a wonderful 4 days off for Memorial Weekend, so I won't be back to post until Tuesday. Get ready though, I have lots of pictures to come. We're so excited because Tammy & I are taking the kids the Beach Saturday! This will be Hunter's 2nd time to the beach but first time actually enjoying him self. And this will be my first time since two years, laying on the beach. Can't wait!
HAVE A WONDERFUL MEMORIAL WEEKEND EVERYONE! XOXO
