Christmas has come & gone

(-major- overload on pics, so excuse! I'm behind just a tad)

......and it went by way too fast! I had a very nice, stressful, crazy but wonderful 6 days off with my family & friends! Lets just say by the time Sunday came around I was almost ready to head back to work! :) Not really though.
Meet Frankie one of my step-brothers who is attending Clemson University "Go Tigers" He came to visit with Hunter on Wednesday. So sweet!
On Christmas Eve we took Hunter down town Summerville to see some of the beautiful Christmas lights. We had fun & he loved looking at all the lights. He said "oohh" so many times.

Priceless
Sleeping baby needs his wrest before Santa comes.

Christmas morning we woke up at about quarter to 8, got dressed and headed out to the living room to find oh so many presents wrapped under the tree. Hunter sat down in Daddy's lap to unwrap all his gifts from mommy & daddy/nanny & Gdaddy Santa. And boy did he have a lot!

Carhart coveralls & hat we bought
Playing his guitar

He got a drum set too
he got a big red wagon from Nanny & G-daddy
and a bunch of other toys/clothes

Later that day we ate dinner with my Dad & Granny. Hunter got some gifts from them.

Papa bought him a John Deere tractor truck & this cute new stuffed tiger w/ a DVD. He was giving him kisses & everyone else he saw that day! ♥ His Great Granny bought him an animal light thing. Can't explain it but it's cute.

Then we drove to my friends house for a little while to see her family.
Christina & Hunter
On Saturday we got a package in the mail from my mom. She sent Hunter some presents and arrived here a little late, so he got to open more presents. :)

My mom bought him a few outfits/clothes & this cute Fisher Price lawn mower. He loves it! And his Uncle Jamie sent $10 bucks in the mail for him to have! :) (Savings account here we come!!!)
Later that day we played outside in his new wagon & just relaxed. It was a very stressful day but I enjoyed seeing my babies face light up! ♥

Sunday night we decided to head over to my sister-n-law's house for a cook out and bomb fire. We roasted marshmallows over the fire & sipped on hot chocolate! It was so much fun! We had a wonderful Christmas! I enjoyed seeing my family & friends. I do wish my mom was home but I know that things work out for a reason.

16 months

My baby is no longer a baby! Look at him! Sigh he is a freakin' toddler now! This makes mommy so sad. Son I cannot believe I say this each month, but your getting so big so fast. I wish you could slow down sometimes!
What you are up to these days....

  • you say mama to everything, no matter what you point at it's "Mama" (makes me PrOuD) ♥ a few other things you say: dada, nana, an-diddy (granddaddy), ad-ow (Shadow), doggy, peek-a-booh, ease (please), bubba, bubbles, nose, ball, bye, ooohh, uh-oh, pow pow, dur (deer), shoe, di-doh (I have no clue), etc.you point to certain things in a book and jibber-jabbertalk on your play phone
  • you know how to point to your nose, mouth, eyes, & ears
  • you run from room to room
  • you climb on anything & everything
  • you sit in mommy & daddy's lap when we read story's at night
  • you can blow your nose (sometimes you cough when I say blow, but It's okay you'll learn)
  • you wave bye,bye to everyone
  • you give lots of kisses ( I LOVE it!!!)
  • you help mommy & daddy whenever you can: wipe off table, cleans face in tub, vacuums, sweeps, rakes the yard, dig dirt, etc.
  • sometimes you will cuddle up with us & watch tv
  • you love your best friend Rex, wont go anywhere without him
  • knows how to put on shoe & socks (he's learning)
  • turns door knobs
  • throws tantrums
  • throws ball very well (with left hand) you maybe a lefty
  • wrestles with daddy all the time (your a little rough at times)
  • draws mommy & daddy pretty pictures
  • shoots the deer on t.v or wherever you see a buck "pow pow"
  • you can dance by twirling in circles, dropping your booty to the floor or by swaying side to side :)
  • gives Shadow hugs & kisses
  • feeds yourself with silverware

I have to say Hunter, you have learned so many new things so quickly. You are a very smart boy. Mommy & Daddy are proud of you & what little boy you have become to be. I do wish you didn't grow up so fast. It feels just like yesterday I was holding you in my arms as an infant, but those days are about gone. Your getting almost too big to hold. We love you baby, and cannot wait to see what God holds for your future (not that I want you to grow up so soon). Love you baby boy! Love Mommy xoxo

Friends ♥

Last night I went out to Logan's ♥ with some old friends of mine that I haven't seen in F-O-R-E-V-E-R! See a few years ago back in 5th-6th grade I met these two beautiful ladies! We became really close friends threw-out the years. Had our up & downs just like every friendship has. It's been probably 5 years since we've ALL three sat down together with just us three! It's amazing how quickly we change & life sometimes breaks people apart. I miss being good friends with these ladies! I'd give & do anything to have our friendship back but in a totally different way. Our past wasn't the best growing up! If there was one thing I'd change, it would be to have our friendship back to the way it was when we first met! ♥

Erica ~ Kim ~ Christina

I love this girl! We've been through a hellacious time growing up as friends together. We been through thick & thin, nothing could tear us apart! We don't see each other as much as I'd like because she is in the Army, but I still think of her daily! Besides, she was one of my Besties! I can't let what we had once, go forever!

I hope you gals have a Merry CHRISTmas! I'm off after today until next Tuesday so I wont be blogging again until Tuesday! ♥

Visiting Family

Friday I stayed home all day and wrapped presents while Hunter was in daycare. That was fun because I didn't realize the things we had bought him, half of it I forgot all about. When I picked him up, Hunter made us a Christmas card, too cute, & his teachers gave Mommy & Daddy this gift.

It ended up being two books for Hunter/us to read. I re-wrapped it so Hunter could open it for Christmas.

This past weekend we visited with Wayne's family in Greer, SC. Every year they get together and have dinner before Christmas. We had a great time & ate so much wonderful food! It was more of a challenge this year with Hunter since he can walk now. He went everywhere in Uncle Sonny's house. Especially the stairway was his Favorite part of the house, he loved it.

This is Camden, Hunter's cousin who is 6 months older than him.

These two boys had a great time together

Family picture we took before we left.
As you may or may not know, a BAD snow storm came in over the weekend, Thursday night, in the upper state. Since we were only about 20 minutes away from seeing the snow, we took a ride up to the NC border line & stopped at the wrest area to play in the snow for a little while. It was so amazing to see all that snow! I haven't seen snow like this in a LONG time, so I was very happy about seeing it! Hunter was a little iffy at first, but then he loved it. It was so COLD!!!

I ♥ this picture!

he ate some of it

then he wasn't so sure about it

but he loved it

On our way back to SC we stopped & took a picture to show that It had in deed snowed in SC! :)
I just wish it would snow like this at our house from time to time. You probably think I'm crazy but we hardly ever see snow! :(
This week is Christmas & I have to say that I am so ready for it! I cannot wait to see my baby open up all his presents & most importantly celebrating Jesus's birthday! ♥ This year has gone by so fast & has brought me a lot of challenges to face through out the year. I'm praying & hoping 2010 will be much better than this year! I'm making some changes & praying for the best.

Christmas Pass

Faith at Walk With Me By Faith is hosting the Christmas Card Carousel. If you would like to join go over to her blog HERE, sign the linky and grab her button. This is our Christmas Card that I made last night! (sorry for the quality) I cannot wait to hand them out!

Last year around this time Hunter was only 4 months old. My how fast he grew up. Wasn't he just the cutest! ♥ Look how fat & chunky he was. :)
Son I wish so bad you were this small again. I know that wont happen but I miss you being this little. I still love you no matter how fast you grow up. Your mommy & daddy's whole world! I couldn't have thanked God enough for my sweet little Angel. ♥
