Changes

All week, my husband & I have been trying to come up with a plan for some adjustments that have to take place by next week. Our son will no longer be attending St. Luke’s daycare starting Tuesday. My good friend had been taking him to school every morning for us for the past year, and beginning next week she wont be able to do it anymore due to kids & work schedule. Since both my husband and I have to be to work by 6 & daycare don’t open until 7, we’ve decided that maybe switching daycares will be the best thing to do so we wouldn’t have to rely on anyone taking Hunter. Well we went yesterday to check out a daycare center that I just happened to look up online. From the pictures & website of this daycare it looked really nice & I was thrilled to take a tour….
Well lets just say by time we were done with the interview I was already in line to sign up RIGHT away. We just new this would be perfect for Hunter. It’s so much better than the daycare he is attending now. Don’t get us wrong, we LOVE St. Luke’s daycare center but oh my word, this one is wonderful!! You may ask why, well I have to explain the difference because I’m overwhelmed….
This daycare center is only 3 years old, was established in 2008 by a young mother of 2 who happened to decide that she wanted to open up her own daycare business and that’s what she did. This daycare is family oriented, Christian related, has bigger classrooms than St. Luke’s, hands on curriculum activities , bright color walls, you have to punch in a code to get into the building, there is a camera set up in each class room, all you have to do is go online and check on your kid whenever you want (how awesome is that!!!), they provide breakfast (we had to supply that @ St.Lukes) snack, lunch, they will wash any dirty clothes he may have messed up within that day, washes the kids blankets each Friday for nap, have a biting rule that if your child gets bit after 3 times, they will have a conference with the other child’s parents, and if it happens again they will be discriminated (I love that bc my child gets bitten EVERY week, Literally), they are very clean, friendly, have wood chips instead of sand on playground (think goodness), open’s from 6-6:30 (A+), that helps us out tremendously. I could go on & on but their really isn’t much more to say than how much I love it & pray that this is the right move for our baby.

I know that this will be a big adjustment for Hunter, but I also know that he will catch on quickly to the changes and will make new friends in no time. His teachers sure are going to miss him at St. Luke’s. His teacher called me today (Tara a young lady who doesn’t have kids yet) and said she heard tomorrow was his last day, & she said when she found that out, it about made her cry bc Hunter was so loved by his teachers. And I’m sure like all people we all get attached to a certain someone and will miss them if we ever left, and I can see that coming from a teacher. ♥ He sure was well known around the school. Every time we would walk him down the hall way, everyone would say “Hi Hunter”. They were always talking about how cute he was and commenting on his beautiful thick blonde hair & blues eyes. St. Luke’s is such a wonderful school and I couldn't thank them enough for all the things they have done for our little man. They’ve helped him grow from being a baby to a toddler and taught him so many new things over the year. We thank you so much St. Luke’s and you will truly be missed & remembered because this was Hunter’s 1st daycare. We also want to Thank Jennifer (our friend) for taking Hunter into her home in the mornings and taking him to school! You truly helped us out so much & we appreciate everything!!! ♥

I go Potty..

I have never been so proud to state that my son used the potty this morning for the 1st time ever!!! :D Usually his diapers are wet when I change him in the mornings, but not this morning. I was about to change him but new that he would have to pee sometime within the few minutes, so I asked Hunter if he wanted to go pee pee in the potty, he shook his head yes, & pointed towards the bathroom. We walked in the bathroom, I sat him down on his potty, then he insist that I sit down on my potty as well, so I do just that. As I was about grab a book for him to concentrate on, I look over & pee is flying across from him, Ha, so I simply helped him out by adjusting himself. And what do ya know, he did it! Hurray. (this may not be big news for you folks, but gosh I was tickled to death, kind of like a kid in the candy store, ya know?!?) I was so excited, I hugged him, & told him he was such a big boy & he was a big boy for using the potty, & rewarded him with a dollar. He had this look on his face as if, yeah ok mom, Really? Ha!

*proof =)
I’ve been sitting him on his potty a few times a week here & their to get the feel of it, like I’ve read about. We also got him a “I go Potty” book that we usually read every other night. I’m not saying that those things helped him but I know that it’s one step closer to him becoming potty trained. We’ll have to definitely start practicing more often than usual, but don’t want to rush him.

If your curious to know what we did over the weekend, well it wasn’t much….
Friday I did a little shopping for my ahem.. friends baby shower (I’ll get back to my so called “friend” later, that calls for another post). My husband & I drove around searching for another vehicle we could purchase for cheap but big enough for the 3 of us to fit. Didn’t find anything. Later that evening I took Hunter to get his hair cut for the 5th time. He actually sat all by himself & did very well. His hair stylist even used the trimmers on his hair.

Saturday I cleaned most of the day (even though I should have done that Friday). We were going to go outside and play in Hunter’s mini pool but it started raining. =( Sunday morning I got up & my baby boy’s butt was as raw as can be, he had runny diapers for 2 days. Poor guy was in so much pain. Needless to say we didn’t go to church because of this, so we just lounged around the house. That evening as Hunter was napping mommy laid out in the sun for a while, then once little man woke up we played in his pool, and road the four wheeler around.

We finally got a truck Sunday evening. My Sil’s husband had an old Ford he let my husband have for cheap. It is in good condition, and lots more room than the yota! We love it & couldn’t be happier. NO PAYMENT! SCORE!!! :) Anyways that was our weekend. Hope you all are having an awesome week so far. Two more days before the my weekend, then It’s off for four days. Yay.

Dear Hunter

What can I say….another month & I haven’t given you up, Ha. Son you are mommy’s world. I write just about the same letter every month since you’ve become older and I can’t help but share how much love we have for you and how much you have changed within that month. Son you are 3 months closer to becoming 2 and I cannot even believe this. Like other mommy say “Time flies once you have your baby so cherish every moment,” well It’s so true. You have grown up right before our eyes. I don’t know where the time went to. You are such a big boy now. You love to do big boy things. You don’t want anyone to help you, and if we do, you throw a fit. You can drink out of a big boy cup very well. You love playing trucks, inside & outside in the ditch. You love riding the new four-wheeler, you have this huge smile on your face every time you see it. You are def. not afraid of the water, whether you are in the tub or in the pool you can’t help but put your head under water. You have this high pitch scream that you’ve just learned how to do, sometimes you can get a little overboard with it. You just got your 5th haircut on Friday & sat in the chair by yourself. The lady used the trimmers for the first time too & you did very well. Everyone you see you will tell them “Hi”, so adorable. You show that you love us by hugging us & saying “Aw” . =) You can say all of your colors and just about name all of the basic animals. When you get mad at mommy or daddy you will give an evil look, pout, say “uh” and walk away. It’s not the best way to handle being mad at someone but cute at times. You will pick up all your toys & clean your room if I ask you to. Your hair is starting to get darker. You say “out” every time you are done eating in the highchair or when you want down. You probably weigh about 32 lbs., extremely heavy to be holding that’s for sure. You love when mommy or daddy reads you your books every night. You have started getting into a very bad habit of biting, Not Good! You are wearing a 2T in clothes, some 3T’s. You are quite the copy cat lately =) Hunter we love you so much baby boy. Thank you for bringing a smile to our face when we’re not in a good mood, thank you for the many blessings and joy of bringing our family together, thank you most of all for your love. You are special in every way & I couldn't thank God enough for you. I love you baby.
Happy 21 Months little Man ♥
xoxo

Melts my ♥

Last night I went to go cover up my baby & this is exactly how I found him. My little toota bugs is growing up so fast ya'll. I'm going to miss these days. I haven't said much about what all he's been up to lately so I figured I'd post about him instead of what mommy is doing.

We've been so busy since the warm weather has rolled in. Busy playing outdoors all the time. He loves playing with his trucks in the ditch. Every time we go out he has to get on the four-wheeler or the tractor (lawnmower). He has been really sweet lately & has been listening to what we tell him to do. I ask him who is who in the house hold & he'll point to all of us. He can say just about say all of the colors. He sure is smart as a whip, but has a sassy mouth. Hunter I love you so much. You sure do make mommy & daddy smile even on a bad day. Thank you God for blessing Wayne & I with the most precious gift you could have ever given us.

I had stated in my previous post that I had some good news. We sold out truck that we have been wanting to do for so long, and I am so thankful. We needed to get rid of that payment in order to move forward in out near future. I am so excited what God has in store for us. This is just one step closer to God's plans & I'm thrilled! ♥

Hope ya'll have a wonderful weekend.

What did we do this past weekend....

Hey all. I've been really busy lately & my work has got blogger blocked now so I'm having to post but only once a week or so. I said I'd try keeping up with my blog for my son, & hoping to do just that. :)
This past weekend I had a wonderful time. Thursday night me & my niece went to Love & Theft ♥ Lady Antebellum ♥ Tim McGraw concert!!! We had a blast! Thanks to the WEZL & my friend Kim for winning them for me! ;)

Their were a lot of our friends we bumped into and had take photos before the concert began...
Love & Theft ♥

Lady-A ♥
Tim McGraw ♥ you know you "Like it, you Love it" Ha.

Butt shot :)

Then to our surprise, bc Darius Rucker is from our home town Charleston, SC, he was at the concert watching it along with this wife and all of us. And Tim let him come on stage and sing along with him to "I like it" . It was an awesome concert!!!

Friday I took Hunter to daycare so mommy could have some alone time. I went out on my Aunt's boat along with her friend. We road around the lake all day Friday & soaked up some son. It was so much fun. I haven't been on a boat in almost 3 years. I will def. be going on another ride soon!

:)
Saturday we went to my Dad's hunting club to ride four wheelers around all day. We had fun & Hunter enjoyed it even if he was dead tired! :)

Sunday was a relaxing day! I skipped church (shame on me) and stayed cooped up inside all day wearing nothing but my pj's. :) I was so tired Sunday & didn't feel like doing much of nothing. It was a busy weekend for sure but had fun doing it. This weekend will def. be a relaxing one too. I've got some good news to share tomorrow. NO I'm not expecting, don't even get that idea in your head. Ha!
Hope you all are having a wonderful week!!!

Wordless Wednesday/ Rainboots & trucks oh my...

Mothers Day Weekend

My weekend started off wonderful. I picked my son up from daycare & this is what he made me....

a beautiful hand painting of flowers & his teachers gave me this beautiful pink rose. So sweet of my little man, thank you baby boy!!!

My mom sent me a little something in the mail as well for my Mother's Day. She bought me a cute Capri/shirt outfit with the palmetto tree on it, absolutely LOVED it!!! Thanks mom.
She also sent a little something for Hunter to rock out on Mother's Day.....

Ha! Now isn't this the cutest shirt ever?!? I LOVE it!!

Saturday I celebrated my Mother's day a day early. My boys took me out to Gilligan's for dinner, (had to have my crab legs). Wayne Hunter got me a sweet card & a pink lounge chair that I've been wanting. Thanks boys!

Our family picture that I never get a good one of, but this will have to do.

The little man who made me Mommy ♥Wayne also took me out to the hunting club for the evening, we went hunting for some coyotes. Had a lot of fun, I didn't see any coyotes but I got to kill an armadillo, first kill of the year, YES, I was pretty tickled. Ha!
~

Sunday I went to visit with my Grandma Dot (my mom's mom) . We had a family surprise get together for her, and it turned out great. I got to see a lot of my family members I haven't seen in years & we had lots of yummy food. I wish my mom could have been here for this, but she knows that she is in our hearts no matter how many miles apart we are!!! I love you Mom!!! ♥
The day was a little stressful chasing after a toddler the whole day but over all I enjoyed spending time with everyone
Here are a few picture from Mother's Day....

Such a Beautiful Weekend

This weekend went by way too fast but I guess they all do anymore.
Friday was my shopping day for Mother's Day, didn't get a whole lot accomplished but had fun just being by myself. I picked up Hunter early from daycare, got home and played in the yard for a little while. Daddy came home with a surprise for Hunter..... a new four-wheeler. You should have seen the smile on his face when he saw it, he ran strait to it.
Saturday morning my husband and I spent half the day in the woods for the last day of Turkey hunting. Got eaten by a million mosquito's & didn't see anything. Fun.....NOT! Later we went home & all played in the yard.

Sunday we went to church, had a wonderful service. Check out Hunter after taking a nap once we got home from church, I told him to smile & say cheese and this is what I got. Ha!

After we ate lunch we went outside for the rest of the evening and played in his mini pool while mommy got some sun.

He had fun in his pool, hopefully we'll get him a bigger one some day. Then we cut the grass & road around on the four wheeler for the majority of the evening. The weather was just perfect. Can't wait to take this little man to the beach soon & take him for a ride on the four wheeler at the hunting club!
Hope you all have a great week!
