Enjoying the Lake

All day Friday Wayne, and I were pretty busy! We had a few doctors appointments to go to that morning. We drove to Moncks Corner to pick up Wayne's Fox Squrl that he got stuffed, and while we were at it went to the lake. It was such a nice day out side. This was Hunter's first time at the lake, so figured I would get some snap shots of us. Hope you enjoy them!

6 month check up

We took Hunter for his 6 month check up today. The doctor checked his weight 21.7 lbs and height 28 inches long. He is such a big healthy boy. Hunter's doctor said he looks great and everything about him was healthy. He, of course said Hunter is off the charts (as in over weight), the average 6 month should weigh 17-18lbs, and 26 inch. long, ha, yea not my son! Hunter also got him 3 shots that day, he didn't take it so well at the time. Before the nurse came in to give him his shots, I laid him on the table to put his clothes back on, and he just screamed and cried, almost like he new them shots were coming or someone was about to do something to him. As the nurse came in, she gave him 2 shots in one leg and 1 in the other, he did cry, but stopped crying after a minute. For the rest of the day his legs didn't bother him, he healed very well from his shots. I guess with them chubby legs he didn't have too much pain because of his fat, lol. He is a big boy though, and very strong.

Get Well

This was very sweet of my sister n law, when I got back from the doctor Tuesday I received beautiful pink/orange roses from her and her kids, and my son. Melina and Darren made me a get well card along with my flowers. Tammy also made a card from Hunter, she had Get well on the cover and inside was both of his hand prints she traced with a pen. So sweet of her. Thank you Tammy I love you! :)
Here's a few other photo's I have been wanting to post but never got around to it.

6 Months Old

My little toota bugs turned 6 months old today. Ain't he growing so quickly. I ask myself where does the time go? I like that he is getting bigger in a way though, because I can actually take him places with out haveing to worry if I'm doing something right or wrong. Won't be long and this lil man will be crawling in no time! :)

Teething again

Hunter is being a bit fussy lately. A few days ago I notice he was starting to drool again, and he has been rubbing his pacifier against his gums. All weekend he's been doing this. Last night before bed, he drunk a 6 oz bottle, and wasn't hungry anymore after that. He started crying like his gums were hurting (which I know he's about to get some new teeth in) so I gave him some Tylenol, and rubbed his gums with oral gel. He did not like that too much, but I stuck his passy in his mouth, and off he went to sleep. Now he is at the house, and his granddaddy is watching for me until I get home, and he's doing the same thing to his granddaddy. I hope he can handle him. I feel sorry for my pore baby though, I couldn't imagine having my teethe pull threw my gums.

Out in the Woods

We went to our hunting club on Saturday just to get away for a while. I enjoyed being out doors with my son and Wayne. We put Hunter in his stroller and walked almost two miles yesterday. The whole entire walk I guess Hunter was bored because he took a long nap. I couldn't blame him for that. Wayne built a fire for us to sit around because it was cold when the wind blew. So I set up Hunters play yard and put some blankets around it to block the wind. He sat in there just as good as he could be, and played with his toys. We have a small camper out there too, and I cleaned it while I was there. We stayed for about 4 hours, then went home. It was nice to be out side for once and enjoy the some what warm weather. Just can't wait for Spring to come.

Family Dinner

Friday night Wayne, Hunter & I went out to dinner at Ruby Tuesdays. Wayne's mother gave us a coupon if you bye one meal you get the second meal free, so we used it Friday night. To our luck we had to stand up and wait for almost an hour, because the kitchen was so backed up, and they couldn't set anyone down to a table because of this. It did suck to wait but well worth it! We were just about to leave when they finally called our name for a table. You should have seen the people coming in and out of that restaurant. When we sat down I put Hunter in the highchair and he just went nuts. He started grabbing everything in his site, no matter what it was he had to have it! It was like he all of a sudden got a burst of energy from some where. lol. Over all though he was really good. I fed him some of my yummy mashed potatoes, he loves them things! I think this was the first night Wayne, & I had went out to dinner by our selves with Hunter. We usually go with out with friends and family but not this time. I really enjoyed it though, because it was just our own little family together. :)

His Nanny bought him a few new out fits, and the shirt he is wearing now was one that she got on sale at Target. Daddy put some of his nice smelling colon on Hunter, so he can pick up the ladies, as Daddy explained to him. :)

he was a big boy, got to sit by himself

Splish Splash

Okay so I have noticed Hunter is really starting to move a lot more, as in swinging his arms back and forth, and moving his legs like crazy. Last night when I put him in his bath tub, he would not stop wiggling around in it. He loves the water now, and loves to splash. When I lay him down for bed, the entire time he is laying there he just wiggles away, almost like he's hyper, going crazy.lol. Not to mention, not too much longer and he'll be sitting up by him self soon.

I tried getting him to smile but he was more concerned about his toys than paying attention to mommy

Valentines Day

Valentines day and this past weekend went Great! Hunter received a cute little stuffed frog from mommy and daddy, and Nanny bought him a little stuffed puppy dog. I made cute heart shaped picture frames for my family from Hunter. (I'll post them tomorrow) Everyone loved them and they were fairly easy to decorate. I had Hunters picture on them, and some said, "Be My Valentine", "Happy Valentines Day", it was fun making them. Next year Hunter will be old enough to help mommy make his own Valentine cards. I also received a card from Hunter, daddy took him in the store to pick out a card last week and he laid his hand on the one that he wanted to give me. It had drool and chew marks on the corner of card. The card had tweety bird on it that said, "Get weady mom, here comes a wealy big hug", and the inside had tweety opening his arms saying "you can weturn it anytime you wike"! I loved it, and I wasn't even expecting a card from him. Very thoughtful daddy! Thank you baby boy! :)

I have noticed Hunter has learned a few new things over this past weekend. Friday we went to visit my Grandmother for the day, and all day long Hunter was blowing bubbles and spitting like crazy. He thought it was funny every time he did it. I wish I new how to post my videos on my blog then I could actually show you. It is just too cute. Also he has been talking baby talk here lately. Almost like he wants to say "Mommy", ha,ha,lol.

Saturday I laid Hunter on my lap and opened him a new toy (chewable key ring), and he had it in his hand just a swinging it back and forth with all his strength. He was mostly using his left hand, so I'm thinking he might possibly be a left hand writer, don't know though. It looked really interesting to Hunter because the expression on his face was really serious, almost like he was taking his anger out on the key ring. So that's what he does now, slings his arms back and forth really hard, it is so funny to watch him do this. I guess he is learning how to make noise by doing this, not sure. :)

When Hunter is in his bouncy seat, Wayne teaches him how to roll this ball on the seat and he will watch Wayne and then do it himself. He is learning how to copy us now, everything that we do he is starting to learn.

You know when Hunter was about 3 or 4 months old he was sleeping threw the night from 7:30 to about (sometimes) 8:30/9 a.m., and now I have noticed that his sleeping patterns have some what changed . I guess its because he is starting to get older. Well now he wakes up at different hours, for instance 5,6, or latest 7:30. It is driving mommy restless on the weekends, ha,ha. I just don't understand him sometimes, but I still love him even though I have less sleep some days. :)

Butt Crack.....

Last night I was giving Hunter a bath, and the whole entire time he was just kicking those little legs. He was splashing all the water out of his tub. I guess its time for mommy to buy him a bigger tub so he can play in, or I'm going to have to start feeling the big tub up so no water will run out! I have noticed last night that Hunter is growing so long. I don't know where he gets it from but he is getting taller and taller everyday.

Oh and Daddy was making fun of his little butt crack last night saying he was going to be a plumber when he grew up. lol. How embarrassing, eh? :)
I'm sure he is going to dislike me when he looks back on this in the future for posting this one!:)

Busy Weekend

What a lovely great weekend it was. Well let me first start off by saying my little man is just so adorable. I just could not see my life with out him! Hunter is definitely starting to be more active here lately. He has been trying to sit up on his own here for a while now, & lately he has really improved. I can just about let him go for longer than say 15 seconds and he sits up bye him self. Just about got it! Every time I catch him laying on his back he is constantly grabbing his toes & stretching his socks, lol. Oh another thing, this is just too funny, every time Hunter tries grabbing something, he looks so into it, like really focused on that object, too cute.

I swear he is just the most happiest baby I have ever met.

Friday Wayne & I went to pick up my brothers four wheeler for the weekend, and Hunter got to enjoy his first ride on it. Can't wait for him to get older and enjoy his own four wheeler ride. (not wishing that anytime soon though:))

Saturday I had my Party Lite Candle show & had to bring Hunter with me. Everything went very well, I had lots of guest show up. Everyone loved Hunter! He was passed around from person to person. After a while though he started getting sleepy and very restless. Pore guy couldn't take a nap because of all the commotion going on. As we left the party he fell a sleep in the car.
We received a package in the mail from Grandma (Sylbie) & Grandpa on Saturday. I opened it up and to my surprise Hunter received his first Valentine gift. My mom bought him a cute card with some heart suckers, and a cute teddy bear that says "Your a Keeper". She is just so sweet and thoughtful! I think he loved it, and guess where the bear went when he got a hold of it?...... straight into his mouth, like everything else does. :)

Sunday Nanny & Granddaddy watched him for that evening for Wayne & I. We took the four wheelers out to the hunting club for a while and got all muddy. We had so much fun. Hunter did very well for Nanny & Granddaddy. They took him to the park for two hours with his cousins. Even though I wasn't there to enjoy watching him slide down the slide and take pictures of him, I know that he had a great time. They must have worn Hunter out though because by time I got home Nanny was spoiling him by rocking Hunter in the recliner while he took a 40 minute nap. I tell you what, those grandparents can be a blessing to have, but boy do they spoil your child. :)
Thanks Nanny & Granddaddy for the big help!
