So Proud

I have a few things that I need to document about Hunter before they cross my mind and I forget. So this will be a Random post about how Proud we are of him.

* We have been so proud of Hunter lately, he has gone #2 on the potty for two weeks now and he's not afraid to tell you! Whenever he goes, he says "Go away Mommy." Too funny.

*We signed back up for Awana at church this year and Hunter is now a Cubbie! :) His first night was last Sunday and he brought home all his paper work for me, he has to learn his Bible verse for each week.  This week's bible verse is "God loved us and sent his son" 1 John 6:   We have been going over this verse and the Cubbie motto "Jesus loves me" everyday this week and he new it after the 1st day!! He's done so well with remembering. He'll receive a vest with a pin this Sunday if he knows the bible verse. I'm so proud of him!!! It makes my heart smile to know that he is learning about the goodness of God's grace and what he's done for us!!

*Hunter brings home paper work about what he's learning for that  week each Monday, which helps out TREMENDOUSLY!! Before he moved to the 3yr old class I was clueless as to what he was doing for the week because his teachers never had a schedule like the one he has now. His new teacher Mrs. Sherrelle works very hard each week putting together his assignment and makes sure each parent knows what's been going in that day and week.  We love his new teacher and are blessed to have someone like her!!  Thank you Mrs. Sherrelle!!

*Here is an example off what they review at school each week, they have to learn about a shape, how to write a letter, learn a color, how to count and write a number, and practice writing there name every week. Pretty simple work. We go over this each evening when he comes home from school. He's learned so much and we are very proud of him.

We are so Proud of you Hunter and am looking forward to even more Proud moments to come. Keep it up baby boy!!

Happy Wednesday!!

I have some exciting news to share, nothing to do with the picture & no we're DEFINITELY not expecting, but... my baby went #2 on the potty last night for the 2nd time of his life!!! Ha! It's been since MAY he last tried it and succeeded!
This is such an exciting milestone that he has accomplished!! I had to bribe him with a sticker and sweet talk him, but it worked. He was so proud of himself, you could see it all over his face. After he was done he didn't want to get off the potty, took us 30 min. to get him to stand up so I could wipe him. Silly boy!
Hopeing this is the beginning of a fully potty trained little boy soon!!!

"Mommy I go Poop in Potty"...

It is Exactly what you see ......

(don't judge my photo, he's just taking care of business in an unusual way, Ha)

I'm so overwhelmed right now because my almost 3 year old went "poopy" on the
potty last night for the FIRST time EVER!!!
Ha. This is BIG for us!
We are so Proud of you Hunter!!!
He went all day yesterday @ school peeing on the potty & last night he "finally"
pooped. :)
It's the little things in life that mean the most to us as parents. Ha!

Lately he'll tell us when he has to go #2 and we would try sitting for a minute
or 15 ha, he would try to go but didn't. So I just put a pull up on him instead
of his underwear and he went in that but told me when he was done and that he
needed to be changed right away. This has been going on for 3 weeks now. Last
night I had forgotten Daddy put his underwear on him after his bath and when
Hunter told me he had to "poo" I said well go ahead, he looked at me and said "
Mommy I have underwear on" I said Oh, that's right. Ha. I asked him to lets try
on the potty, he shook his head no, then I thought for a minute... and brought
his potty to him in the bedroom so he could watch t.v and concentrate without me there. He sat down on it & all of a sudden... "Mommy I go Poop,... See!" Ahhh...I was so EXCITED, praised him and clapped and told him what a big boy he was.His cheeks turned blush red and he had this huge smile on his face! It was Priceless!! :)
You could tell he was Proud of himself as well.

Well done Hunter.. Keep this up... No more buying pull-ups... Money saved!!!
Ha! =)
~~~~
On another note, while I have this fresh on my mind...
Before we arrived home yesterday Hunter saw a church we always pass by, he said "Mommy there's a church". I said yes it sure is, usually I'll ask him what do we do at church but this time I didn't have to.. he says "We praise God & Jesus loves me!"
BITTER SWEET!!!!!
It touched my heart to hear those words come from my baby boy! I love him so much & am so Greatful to be able to teach him about our Wonderful God & his son Jesus Christ! What would we do without God in our lives, I just couldn't imagine! ♥
"Apart from me, you can do nothing." John 15:5 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13
Memorial Weekend
We had a wonderful Memorial weekend. Thursday night the hubby & I went to the movies to see Pirates of the Caribbean 4. It was an awesome movie! Friday was my clean up day.
Saturday my SIL & I took the kidos to the Lake/Beach. We left early morning, and were the first beach bums there. Ha. It was very relaxing & the kids LOVED it. We'll def. be taking them back soon!
Sunday we took the kids to my SIL's hunting club & we all road four wheelers around all evening. Hunter was so tickled to be at the hunting club, he loved every bit of it. We road for 4 hrs and got home at 10:30. Late night! :)
Monday we slept in til 9 & it felt GREAT! Ha! We got up & took tootabugs to the store & bought him a new pool. The one he had, had a slow leak so we got him an even bigger one. We blew it up for him & him & his cousins got to swim all evening. We later ate hamburgers & hot dogs with the family.
It was a very nice long weekend spent with family & sleeping in late! :)
And on top of all that... my baby boy wore his "Big boy" underwear ALL WEEKEND LONG, and at night time with NO ACCIDENTS!! (dispite him having to go #2 in his pull up when he tells me he has to "poo") We're so VERY PROUD of him!!! Keep it up Baby Boy!
Joys of having a toddler....
Hey all. Their has been quite a few things I'm behind on w/ my little man. As always. ;) These past two weeks have been pretty interesting to say the least. Hunter has discovered he can take off his diaper, what that means is he's becoming a big boy so he thinks. Last Monday night I tucked toota bugs in for bed & told him to let me know if he had to potty no matter what time it was, so I leave out room & come back in to check on him one last time. Well to my discovery he's standing in his crib butt naked, socks, pants & diaper all off.. Luckily I checked on him just in time because he had to potty, trust me, I could tell. Ha! I was in such shock to see him like this that I kinda screamed & said "Hunter, what are you doing?" I felt so bad bc afterwards he was scared to death & wanted me to hold him. I will never forget his facial expression. I said I was sorry for scaring my poor babe & we went to potty & I had a firm talk to him to not take that diaper off again. It was a little funny to see him like this too. Wish I had a camera right then & their. Ha!
Well from that night on he's taken his diaper off each time. Saturday I left him w/ his Nanny for a few hours while I went hunting. She called me & said he left her with a wonderful surprise in his crib, poo was smeared everywhere, all over him, his hands, the crib... I about died laughing bc he did it to her & not me... Yet! ;) I guess he's just experiencing new things & starting to be well potty trained & he doesn't like the feel of his diaper being on when he poops or pees. The joys of raising a toddler are such wonderful blessings & full of surprises. haha
Hunter has been learning so many wonderful new things lately.... I'm enjoying every moment of it!! He is such the sweetest baby boy, he'll say "Bless you" if u sneeze, "thank you", "yes ma'am, yes sir", ur welcome", "I love u" and so much more. He makes momma & daddy so proud! I was on my way taking him to school this morning & he saw the moon, I asked who made the moon" & surprisingly he said "God". He's so sweet.
I am loving this stage he's in! It's been such an interesting age to learn about that's for sure. :)
This week is Thanksgiving week & I cannot believe it!!! This year 'literally' flew by! I CAN't believe i'll be 24 on Thanksgiving day either... yes my birthday will fall on Turkey day.... good eatin right their now. haha I really thought I was turning 23 a few months ago then hoI forgot my age. Crazy! We'll be having a very busy week a head of us, work 2 days off for 5, yay!,... Hunting, B-day's (mine & my niece), Thanksgiving day with both family's, Black Friday ( kinda scared & excited, our first ever attending) ha, then more hunting. It's going to be fun! Just thought I'd catch up on a few things. Pictures to come soon. Have a blessed Thanksgiving!!!
Fun Fall Weather
This past weekend me & toota-bugs spent lots of one on one time together. We played trucks all day Saturday & took a break from hunting. We ate yummy Halloween candy & played ball outside, we also racked the leaves in the yard & jumped in them. :) I love my bug!!!
Ps: It's been in the low 30's here in S.C this past weekend = INSANE!!! hA!
Lately Hunter has been doing very well at listening & potty training!!!
Saturday he peed for momma twice in the potty & he pottied @ church for me on the "adult" potty!!! I was so proud of my little man. Praying this is a success & he will continue to do well!
~
Last Thursday was my husband's birthday. He turned 32 this year. Man he sure is getting old, kidding. :) We made daddy a birthday card & he got some new jeans & new shirt for winter. Happy Birthday baby.
I've been hunting on & off this year. Not as much as I'd like to. My husband got a little 7pt buck after his birthday Friday morning, (LUCKY) & he's also killed two other 6 pts this year. I'm a little jealous bc I'm not seeing much of anything but I guess I just have to have patients. Ha.
Anyways just thought I'd catch up on some things. Hope everyone is doing well & God Bless!!
Poop & Phases
I forgot to mention that Hunter did number 2 on the potty this past weekend. Isn’t that exciting?!? Well if you have a child then you know it is. Hehe I didn’t think he would use the potty for that just yet, but he did just well. Another proud moment in our lives! J
For two weeks now I’ve been having a little problem with dropping Hunter off at daycare & at his Sunday school class. He is going through one of those attached phases. Before I walk him into his class, I have a talk with him that goes a little something like this:
Mommy: Hunter mommy’s about to drop you off at your school. I want you to be a good boy okay.
Hunter: okay
Mommy: Okay so that means don’t hit, push, bite, spit & listen to your teacher’s okay.
Hunter: okay
Mommy: so I’m going to walk you in & mommy’s got to go bye bye & I’ll pick you up later so don’t cry when I walk you into your class room because mommy will be back, I promise.
Hunter: okay (and he gets excited to go in)
We both walk in together. I sign him in, and give him kisses before entering the room. Right before we hit the door is when it all begins. He starts clinging onto my leg, & wants me to hold him & will not let go. He cries & throws a huge fit every time I drop him off. It’s not just at his school either, like I said this happens at church as well, so I know it has nothing to do with him being afraid of the teachers or anything. I believe it’s just a phase he’s going through. It’s so crazy because two weeks ago he did good, but now It’s horrible dropping him off. I hate leaving him all upset but there really isn’t anything I can do but walk away. His teachers says he is fine after about 5 minutes of me leaving. Ah the joys of kids & there crazy phases they go through. It’s amazing how one week they are completely opposite from the next. I just hope that this phase passes away very soon because I don’t like it. Ha!
Dear Hunter
Dear Hunter,
Once again another month has come & gone. You are 22 months old today! It's so hard to believe you are only 2 more months away from becoming 2! :( Sigh....My baby is growing up on me & I'm not liking it one bit! ha!
My son, you have made mommy & daddy so proud of you. We are head over hills in LOVE with you & the little things that you do. You make our day by sharing those sweet kisses & hugs. You have said the sweetest little things lately like "where's my ball at", "Thank you", "I go potty", Night,Night", "Ew that's Nasty", "where daddy go", "Hi", "Bye". You can also say a lot more words & put a few sentences together but I can't remember all of them but It's the sweetest thing ever. When you see someone, you always say "hi" & give the sweetest little smile. You are smart as ever & understand a lot for your age. You listen quite well when we ask you to do something. You have used the big boy potty 5 times so far & I am so proud of you. Usually you'll go when you wake up & Mommy gets really excited! ♥ You'r catching on very fast! You love playing trucks with Daddy & wrestling with him. Sometimes I think Daddy plays too ruff but i know he's only trying to make you tougher. You DISLIKE it when we make you come inside, you LOVE the outdoors & would live out there I believe if we let you. You like to copy us sometimes & It cracks us up what little things you do. Daddy gave you a new buzz haircut, I'm sure you are loving it considering all the thick hair you had in this hot heat. Mommy is starting to enjoy it. :) Everyone compliments on how cute you are, and how much your new hair dew has made you look like a little man. You have adjusted to your new school very well. They actually put you in the 2 year old class this week to see how you adjust with the bigger kids....since you are the biggest kid in your 1yr old class, ha. They say you are doing wonderful & playing nicely with the other children. They also talk about how smart you are & how well you've adjusted to everyone. That's what I like to here!
Mommy & Daddy are so very proud of you. We are missing the baby moments that have come & gone over the year but am really enjoying the new things you have learned & are learning. This year we'll actually be able to take you places we couldn't do before. Your going to have a wonderful Birthday. Mommy has it all planned out already & I cannot wait!
We love you toota-bugs & don't ever forget it! ♥
Mommy & Daddy
ZBB Concert
Hi everyone.
We had such a great weekend. Friday I worked on a Diaper cake all day for my friends baby shower on Saturday. It turned out so beautiful. Very proud to say that this was my first cake! Saturday morning we had to get things ready for the baby shower. I want you all to know that I don’t know what I’d do if I didn’t have my mother n law that day!!! She sure is a blessing to have in my life & I want to thank her so much for all she did to help me with hosting this baby shower. Thanks Mrs. K, I love you & thank you so dearly!!! The baby shower went well, not as many people as I thought that showed up but Christina got lots of good gifts and great food. That evening we rushed home so I could get ready to head to Zack Brown Band concert with my love that night. I have to say that ZBB ROCKED the stage & put on an AMAZING performance for us!!! They are so awesome! Thanks to us meeting up with our home town radio station 96.9 The Wolf, Jessica & Steve hooked us up with 2 front row seats that night, how freaking awesome was that!!! :) I got the hook up ya’ll. Haha We had a lot of fun & got great pictures. Sunday I woke up to no voice, go figure. I was technically already feeling like I was getting sick Saturday morning, so screaming that night didn’t help much either. Anyways we went to church that morning, then came home and took a 3 hour nap, it was a must in need. We didn’t really do a whole lot Sunday but lounged around all day & played a little outside.
Monday I woke up to a huge migraine and no voice again so I stayed home yesterday. I sure did need it & it felt pretty good just to relax & nap all day!
I felt better this morning so I figured I’d make it into work. As I got my son up, he was grumpy of course so I took him to our bed to change him When I felt his diaper it wasn’t wet so I asked if he wanted to potty. He jumped up immediately and took all his toys & blankets to the bathroom & pottied in the potty like a big boy!!! Yay! I was so proud. This was his 2nd time. He’s growing up so fast.
I go Potty..
I have never been so proud to state that my son used the potty this morning for the 1st time ever!!! :D Usually his diapers are wet when I change him in the mornings, but not this morning. I was about to change him but new that he would have to pee sometime within the few minutes, so I asked Hunter if he wanted to go pee pee in the potty, he shook his head yes, & pointed towards the bathroom. We walked in the bathroom, I sat him down on his potty, then he insist that I sit down on my potty as well, so I do just that. As I was about grab a book for him to concentrate on, I look over & pee is flying across from him, Ha, so I simply helped him out by adjusting himself. And what do ya know, he did it! Hurray. (this may not be big news for you folks, but gosh I was tickled to death, kind of like a kid in the candy store, ya know?!?) I was so excited, I hugged him, & told him he was such a big boy & he was a big boy for using the potty, & rewarded him with a dollar. He had this look on his face as if, yeah ok mom, Really? Ha!
*proof =)
I’ve been sitting him on his potty a few times a week here & their to get the feel of it, like I’ve read about. We also got him a “I go Potty” book that we usually read every other night. I’m not saying that those things helped him but I know that it’s one step closer to him becoming potty trained. We’ll have to definitely start practicing more often than usual, but don’t want to rush him.
---
If your curious to know what we did over the weekend, well it wasn’t much….
Friday I did a little shopping for my ahem.. friends baby shower (I’ll get back to my so called “friend” later, that calls for another post). My husband & I drove around searching for another vehicle we could purchase for cheap but big enough for the 3 of us to fit. Didn’t find anything. Later that evening I took Hunter to get his hair cut for the 5th time. He actually sat all by himself & did very well. His hair stylist even used the trimmers on his hair.
After
---
Saturday I cleaned most of the day (even though I should have done that Friday). We were going to go outside and play in Hunter’s mini pool but it started raining. =( Sunday morning I got up & my baby boy’s butt was as raw as can be, he had runny diapers for 2 days. Poor guy was in so much pain. Needless to say we didn’t go to church because of this, so we just lounged around the house. That evening as Hunter was napping mommy laid out in the sun for a while, then once little man woke up we played in his pool, and road the four wheeler around.
We finally got a truck Sunday evening. My Sil’s husband had an old Ford he let my husband have for cheap. It is in good condition, and lots more room than the yota! We love it & couldn’t be happier. NO PAYMENT! SCORE!!! :) Anyways that was our weekend. Hope you all are having an awesome week so far. Two more days before the my weekend, then It’s off for four days. Yay.
Wordless Wednesday/Potty
He finally sat on his little potty the other night but hasn't accomplished dropping anything in it just yet. ;D
