Dad-E

Since I left my son alone with Dad-E (as he pronounces it) this past weekend, this little booger wants nothing to do with Mommy. Ha. I'm actually enjoying it just a little bit. Tuesday night my son got up four times throughout the night because of his teething (I think) and all he wanted was his daddy. Even though Daddy wasn't up for taking care of a toddler in the middle of the night I made him get up the last cry out to tend to him. I didn't get any sleep that night.
Every time I have gotten Hunter up for school this week, he points into our room & wants his daddy. Then he'll lay in the bed with his daddy & fall right back to sleep as you can see in this picture. :)

It's actually pretty sweet that Hunter has his Daddy's finger wrapped around him so much!!! It's priceless. Each time I got Hunter out of the bath, he wanted his Daddy to dress him & change his diapers, NOT mommy
Ahhh, & you see why I am enjoying these moments?!? :)
It's quite funny.
I told my husband he had Hunter spoiled rotten while I was gone, and asked what he did to him! His response is, "Don't be jealous Kim".
Ha, yea right, why would I be jealous, I'm taking in all these great moments while I can because I know this wont last long. Soon it will be Mommy this, Mommy that. Ha!

Hope you ladies are enjoying your week. I have some Mother's Day shopping to finish up on tomorrow on my day off, yay! Have a great weekend!!!!

My Heart Was Touched....

As you know I went to the E-women's Conference in Greenville over the weekend & had an AMAZING time!!!

We got our stuff settled into the hotel room Friday evening, then went out to eat before the conference began at 7. I really wasn't sure what to expect from this conference because it was my first time going to something like this. I can just say that I was truly blessed & thrilled that my friends invited me for this event. Thanks ladies!

Charles Billingsly started off with some great singing & praise songs. He was a goof ball! :) We had comedian, Chonda Pierce as a speaker for that night. She was so funny & I enjoyed her testimony towards the end. Then came out Jeremy Camp!!! He was amazing & so cute, I love his music. We had a great time that night.

Saturday we were up bright and early for another great day of praise & worship to come. We had many speakers through out the day like, Sheri Rose Shepherd, Karen Kingsbury Lysa TerKeurst, & Angela Thomas. Charles Billingsly lead most of the music through out the day. We had Mathew West do a live performance, & he was also Amazing. He wrote a song for his daughter Lulu, & sung it for her on stage, which was the sweetest thing. Here are a few photos from the day.

Not so good of a picture but I got to meet him!!! :) We had a great time & I still cannot thank Jennifer enough for inviting me to such a wonderful event. It was a great weekend to just get away from reality, men, kids, & just relax to have a great time with friends & God. I can say this my heart has been touched deeply & pray that I will never give up on the Lord God Almighty!!!~
As for my husband back home with our 1 1/2 year old, well lets just say he did a good job of taking care of my baby ALL weekend, & he thought he couldn't do it, pshd. :) When I arrived home Sunday evening I couldn't wait to rap my arms around my little man oh & husband. Ha. Hunter was a bit bashful at first as if he had a facial expression saying "Where did you come from, & where have you been" haha. I could see the happiness that passed afterwards though. It was good to get away but nothings better than being with your loved ones. ♥
Hope you all are having a great week!!!

Dear Hunter

his new school picture :)

My son is now 20 months, I cannot believe this.. It amazes me everyday how much this little boy learns & grows so quickly. My son you will be 2 in no time, better yet 4 months. I just don’t know where the time goes anymore. I am so blessed to have you in my life baby boy. You mean everything to me & your daddy & by writing you these letters every month proves how much we love you. You have become a little boy now, & no longer a baby & that breaks my heart to say this. Mommy put away all your baby stuff that was in your room this past weekend, kinda sad to see it gone. I new though it was time to get out of that baby stage & move onto big boy things. You have all your John Dear tractors on display in your room now, no more baby stuffed animals everywhere. The teachers at daycare have taught you a few sign language moves that you have learned so gracefully. You can sign more by tapping your tiny finger to the palm of your hand, you rub your chest when you say Please, you blow kisses to say Thank you, all done when you put your hands up, & eat by putting your hands up to your mouth. When you are done eating you will always say “out” when you want to get out. You are starting to pronounce your words a lot clearer now, instead of Mama you say Mommy, so sweet. You can put a few sentences together as well. You have been a really good boy over the month, haven’t thrown as many tantrums. You love the outdoors & riding on the tractor & helping mommy cut grass. You are in a size 7 shoe now. You say bye, bye to everyone when you go to leave. Everyone know’s you at school, you are quite the popular little boy. You have learned something new that you have done for the past 2 weeks; you will give people the mean look or cut your eye at them if you don’t like what they have said or you just do it because. It’s too funny to see this but not very nice. You love to read, every night you want mommy or daddy to read you a book before bed time. You love to watch Thomas the Train. You brush your teeth just about every night. You are teething again & getting your molar teeth in. Hunter, we just love you so much son, & pray that you continue to do good & be the best you can be throughout life. I’m going to miss these moments so much with you. You make our lives brighter & brighter each day. Love you baby.
xoxo

Mini get away

I am super excited for this weekend for a wonderful time of praise and worship in Greenville, SC. My friend Jennifer invited me last year to come with her to this years Extraordinay Women's Conference , I couldn't have Thanked her enough for inviting me. My friend, along with her sister & mom will be staying in a motel all weekend. Leaving today and returning home on Sunday.
I will be a bit nervous as well due to the fact it will be my first time leaving my boys for a whole weekend!!! Gulp.
But I know they'll do fine without me but I guess It's that mother instinct about leaving your baby, ya know?!? I do know it will be a very nice relaxing weekend away from the boys & look at it as a weekend break with good friends and a wonderful time serving God and worshiping. I pray that I go this weekend to find that lost of emptyness I have in my heart that I've felt for sometime now with the Lord & pray that I find out who I really am. I can't really word on how I'm feeling because I'm not good at writing about it. Just please Pray for us ladies & for me to find that emptyness I am feeling.
Thank you. Kim
(feel free to check the website out, click on the highlighted Extraordinary Women's Conference, it tells you all who's going to be their & who all is performing like Jeremy Camp, Mather West, woo who!!! :)

A little bit of this & that

I've just taken a week break because I've been too busy. It's been one of those weeks where everything hits you at once. I am missing up on a lot of your blogs & don't want to stress about catching up so I will get over to my blogging buddies ASAP! I miss you gals! ♥

Here's what we did over the past weekend/week. Friday I cleaned & cleaned & cleaned. Went through all of Hunter's clothes etc. Saturday we went over to my SIL's house for some pool time. Hunter loves the water, he doesn't care if It's freezing cold or not (which it was). :)

making a jump into the pool

Tammy gave Hunter Darren's old bike (whatever it's called). He road that around the yard a little while, then insisted we get back in the pool and we did.

whenever he gets tired he'll take a kneel to the ground and rest for a quick second, too cute

Sunday we went to church, then I laid out a little while & just relaxed most of the evening.
~
This pass week Hunter has learned a few new things. He has started to cut his eye at you if he doesn't like what you say, It is hilarious ya'll. He's also been doing some pretty wild expressions lately, some that have a serious look, & other's that are like "what you talking about mom". He has been a sweet little boy all week. I got a phone call from his teacher telling me he did something very sweet at daycare; he was playing with a baby bottle & his friend Emily was crying because she wanted it, so Hunter walked across the room to get her a baby bottle so she would stop crying. I thought that was so sweet of my little man. Just melts my heart.
~
Yesterday (Wednesday) I stayed home from work with him because he was running fever. I took him to the Dr. thinking maybe he was having Croup again & maybe an ear infection. I guess he fulled me because he didn't have neither, just a cold. Poor baby sure didn't sound so good. I took him to the store to buy some new shoes & rain boots after (he desperately needed them). We went home & got some more meds in his system then played outside a little while. He loves it outside, whether he's sick or not he doesn't care. :)

at the Dr.

(he was having a little too much fun sitting in the Dr's chair) Ha!

outside playing
That basically sums up my week for now. Today is my Friday & I am super excited for this weekend (I know I say that every weekend but really I'll tell ya why in tomorrow's post) :) Keep my little man in your prayers ya'll. Thanks ♥

Great Weekend

Hi ladies, hope you gals had a wonderful weekend. I have been a little busy so I haven't got to read any one's blogs lately & just posting about my weekend. Friday my friends daughter will be graduating this year & got accepted to Clemson College in the fall. She asked if I'd like to tag along, and boy was I thrilled. Clemson is our #1 team & it was SOO Beautiful!!! As sad as this may sound but I've never taken a tour or visited any colleges before so I was excited. We had so much fun. I got to meet up with my step-bro Frankie, who is a freshmen at the campus. It was an Awesome place & would die to have gone there for school!!!

Clemson Football Stadium ♥
~
My girlfriend & I went to our local Flea Market on Saturday. It was okay, haven't been in such a long time. Then that evening Hunter & I mowed the grass on our new John Deere Tractor. Hunter had a blast with that.
~
Sunday my friend Erica (who I rarely get to see) had her baby girls 1st birthday party at a park. Little Miss Leah was so cute. She got lots of great birthday gifts. It was really good to see everyone we haven't seen in forever & we had a great time.
*Birthday Girl *Us three girls together again at last. :)
(can't you tell that me & Christina (prego lady) were matching that day, Plaid day) :)
Sunday evening we went to visit with my Granny. Had a good dinner with her & she got to spend time with little man. It's so hard to get over to my Granny's at times so we try to go as often as we can.
That raps up my weekend. Onto Monday. My husband stayed home yesterday just because, and this is what he brought home....

A big ole' Gobbler. :) He was very proud since it was his first of the season. Mommy was a bit jealous knowing that I have no luck when I try going! I was happy for him & Hunter enjoyed checking him out, can't ya tell. :)

Anyways, It's been a heck of a week so far. Been a little stressed out because a certain little boy hasn't done a lot of listening these past few days. Hunter has been driving me crazy! Guess It's a stage they all go through. Hope the week gets better. Looking forward to lots of Spring cleaning & arranging things this Friday off. It's a MUST for sure. I'm so sick of working my way around things in my son's room & he has so many toys, etc. that I have to clean out. So looking forward to that, (not really but someone has to do it) .
Have a great week ladies.

Answers Revealed

Thanks ladies for your questions. I enjoyed answering all of them. Some of you had the same questions so I answered them just in one question.

1. What are you most looking forward to this year? I am looking forward to spending time outdoors with my son more. Since he has gotten a little bit older I can do so many new things with him that I know he will enjoy. I cannot wait for my best friend to have her baby boy! I am looking forward to this years hunting season (gotta love hunting) & to seeing my mom come home for a week in the summer.

2. Do you want any more kids? I do want at least one more baby. A GIRL for sure! My husband doesn’t want anymore (bc he thinks one is a handful as is, but what does men know), he just doesn’t know it yet, but a baby will be in our future. Not any time soon, but maybe in another year or two.

3. If so, do you have any names you like? Yes I have had this name picked out way before Hunter was born for a girl: Carolina Grace

4. What do you most cherish about being a mom? I love everything about becoming a mom. It’s the words that come out of your child's mouth “mom” that I cherish the most. Becoming a mother has changed me forever & I wouldn’t change it any other way!

What is your favorite movie ever? That’s a hard one to say I don’t have a favorite, but I do LOVE The Notebook (such a tear jerker), Facing the Giants, & Fire Proof.

How did you meet your hubby? I met him through our work. I used to work at Scout Boat with him, & we fell in love. :)

Easter Weekend

What a beautiful weekend we had here in South Carolina!!! I had a pretty good Easter weekend. Spent Thursday with my girl Christina who is now 6 months pregnant. She is getting so cute with that baby belly. I cannot wait for little Mason to arrive. We went fishing & hung out at the lake all day, which was very relaxing & had fun catching up.

(the only fish we caught)Friday Hunter had an Easter Egg hunt with our church at a park. We had so much fun. He found some Easter eggs & then they read a story to the children & handed out little gifts.

My mom sent Hunter an Easter basket in the mail. So sweet of her. Thanks mom!

Saturday we dyed some Easter eggs. This was Hunter's first time dying eggs so he had a lot of fun & made quite the mess. :)

Sunday morning Hunter woke up with a horrible cough. He didn't sound good at all. I called the Dr. & she said it sounded like he had Croup. Turns out that's exactly what my poor baby had. He was running fever the day before & all that day. This is the second time my baby has had this & It's not fun at all. :( We managed to make it to church that morning. I didn't want to take Hunter to the nursery so he stayed in the sanctuary with us. We had a great service. Here are some pictures before church & after.
Opening his mama's homemade Easter Basket. :)
he got a pop-gun & lots of other goodies
He's all dressed up for church. Oh I just love this handsome baby boy!!!

(Even though he was sick he was a big trooper & smiled for his mama)

Our family picture after church. Not the greatest but will do.

After church I took Hunter home, laid him down for a nap & I went to my SIL's house to help cook dinner. We had a wonderful Easter dinner with the family. Afterwards we had the kids a little Easter egg hunt.

It was a long weekend but we had a great time overall. I'm so thankful for my lord Jesus Christ for all that he sacrifice for our lives. Thank you Lord for a Blessed & Beautiful day! ♥
(I took H to Dr. yesterday, & he did end up having Croup & and ear infection. They gave him some medicine & is feeling a lot better today. I haven't heard from the daycare so I'm assuming he's had a good day. Thank God)
Hope you all have a wonderful week!!!
(sorry for the picture overload) :)
