Exciting Weekend (for them anyways)

WARNING! VIEW AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

(Hope that's better for my blogger friends who dislike this kind of stuff! he,he)

Hey you all! I can't believe I've gone this long without blogging. It's been a crazy week. I have so many blog post to catch up on!

Just a recap of my weekend. Thursday night my FIL killed a nice 6 point buck. He went hunting late that evening, sat for 10 minutes then here he comes. He got a perfect shot. Way to go Dennis! He sure did need that. Ahem... even thought that should have been my buck, just kidding! :)
I got a phone call late Thursday night that my husband killed this huge gator! How awesome is this gator?!? He was so excited. It ended up being a 9 ft gator, weighing about 180. The guys said they have never been so excited in there lives. He said it was like an adrenalin rush, almost like when a Buck walks up to your stand but better! :) Great job guys!

My SIL went hunting Friday evening with her husband and got a nice doe. This was her first, so she was very excited. I could only imagine the excitement for her, I remember the day I got my first deer/buck down, what an adrenalin rush that was! Nice job Tambo.

And then her husband killed a 5 point the next day and so did my dad. And you may or may not ask, Kim where is your deer?!? Huh well lets just say I'm get one soon! I was a little disappointed when I sat in the stand Friday night and didn't see anything. As I was in the stand I received Tammy's picture of her doe, then I thought to myself, well I guess I won't kill anything this year. I was a bit down on myself there for a while, with all this killing going on, and none for me. Then after I prayed about it, I saw a doe & a yearling come out right at dark. I was so thrilled to see them. I couldn't shoot them of course bc we can't shoot does right now, but that was good enough for me to see.

My son woke up Monday morning with a fever of 99.6, I could tell he didn't feel that well. I went ahead and took him to daycare, and told his teacher to keep an eye on his temperature and to call me if it gets worse. I got a phone call that evening, the lady said he had a 100.9 fever. Poor baby. He didn't feel good at all. I took him to Dr., he had a cold flue, she said just to keep an eye on it, and give him some Motrin or Tylenol. I did as she said. I could tell he started feeling a little better by the next morning. He still had a slight fever, and runny nose. I stayed home with him so he could get a day of wrest. He seemed very sleepy this morning, but better with fever. I'm hoping he feels better by the end of the week. I hate seeing him sick.

If all goes well by Friday, my husband is taking me gator hunting. Call me crazy if ya want to! :) I was a little iffy at first because of getting in so late, but I have to go because It's my alligator tag and no one else can kill it but me. I'm excited, nervous, probably will be exhausted, but hoping to have a good time and get a bigger gator than my husbands before the nights out.

Okay glad that's out the way. Hope you all are having a good week. Now I need to catch up on some work and read some blogs! :)

What great kills! Gator hunting is so foreign to me, so that's super cool to see pictures.

I know how it feels to be the ONLY one not getting anything, and it stinks, but patience pays off! Have fun gator hunting :)

I hope Hunter feels better too!
