The weather turned out beautiful for our trip to the beach on Saturday. Tammy & I took the kids to Isla Palms Beach in Mt. Pleasant. We got there about 10 and it was PACKED. I told Tammy that we should have left at 8 to get there early, but she didn't listen.
We did get a good spot though. The tied was low and that gave the kids a little spot to play in the shallow area.

Hunter loved the water! He didn't care if that water splashed in his face or not, he just laughed the whole time. I took Hunter to the big waves also, I sat him down in the shallow water, and all of a sudden here comes the water up on the beach and sweeps little Hunter away. Don't worry I grabbed him as soon as he tipped over. He did not like that at all, he cried, so I had to take him back to the shallow part of the beach. PS: I HATE the salty water myself, but got in for Hunter and the kids. He didn't like it when I took him out of the water either. I tried getting some sun but that didn't work so well with a 9 month. I brought Hunter's pack-n-play with me so I could keep him busy in that while I laid out, but of course he didn't want to stay in that. So I sat with him in the sand and played with him.

Did I tell you my son loves the taste of SAND!?! He was putting the sand in his mouth every chance he'd get when mommy wasn't watching. Silly boy.

Over all the kids had a great time. I do know that this was a big hassle toting everything from the car and back. And I have learned my lesson to not take a 9 month to the beach until he is old enough to know better. I just didn't get to enjoy it as much as I wanted to, and it was a lot of work. Next time Tammy & I are going without the kids. Hopefully.
Hope you enjoy our pictures from the beach!
