<center> As I was in the mall Saturday along with my very exhausted two year old, he decided he wanted to throw a HORRIBLE tantrum in the middle of the mall where EVERYONE was watching. Y'all I have never been so embarrassed in my life until that day. You see normally he'd throw these random tantrums in his room while AT HOME not in PUBLIC and I'd just leave him alone & let him cry it out. Well of course I couldn't' just leave him screaming at the top of his lungs laying on the floor in the mall, so I kinda panicked and started getting really hot & sweaty (normal). I picked him up and tried calming him down & spoke to him softly but he wasn't having it. I walked away from the crowd who had their eyes bulging out at us, and tried calming him down outside but he continued to scream and say "NO". My oh my I just wanted to beat his little hinny so bad but I knew that wasn't the appropriate thing to do. I took him back to his Nanny & she tried calming him down & putting him back into the cart but he still was freaking out. I finally gave in and gave him his paci (PLEASE don't' judge me because he has a paci at 2yrs old) and held him and walked away. He finally stopped and had listened to what I had to say to him. I can say one thing, Thank God for Pacifiers!!! I'm not ashamed because he still has one either, It's only for naps & night time, we'll wean him off of it I'm sure before he's 3 so don't worry or judge like I said!
And the reason behind this tantrum you maybe asking... I let him ride one of the kiddy rides in the mall, and then another one but after the second ride we were ready to move to another store, well he wanted to ride again. By time I said No he had already started pitching his tantrum fit.
So my question to you ladies, have you ever dealt with this kind of behavior before & how did you deal with it??
Boy I just hope this never happens again in public! :)

2 sweet friend had something to say:
I feel your PAIN! My two yr old likes to throw those really nice tantrums occasionally too. I think that you probably handled it as well as you could. Don't give in and remove him from the situation until he gets his frustration out. Oh and my son still takes a paci at night too! No judgment here! :o)
Girl, I have no advice as this is a struggle that I deal with all of the time. Blah!
