Meet the newest addition of our family

We welcomed two little boys into our lives last Friday... meet Smokey & Bandit! Ha.

 

Aren't they ADORABLE?!?!?!

 

We have been wanting a beagle puppy for a while now but kept putting it off because we didn't think we could afford one. Well this time we were determined to get a puppy for Hunter. We new that Hunter would love them and so would we. :) We were going to come home with one male pup, but then we got talked into getting his brother as well. How could we resist, one needed a companion. :)

 

So far they have adjusted very well in there new home. We built them a nice pen to play in and a warm big dog box to sleep in. During the cold nights this week we kind of spoiled them and brought them in the house to sleep. We couldn't let them freeze there little tales off. They are great puppies, we never hear a sound out of them during the night but maybe once.

 

Hunter LOVES them, he calls them his babies. He helps feed and water them everyday. We tell Hunter since these puppies belong to him he has to take care of them and this will be his chore that he earns money for at the end of the week. He enjoys playing with them every chance we go outside, and the puppies adore Hunter. Whenever Hunter runs the pups are tagging right along behind him. We'll  be using Smokey and Bandit not only for our pets but they'll be in the woods every Saturday during hunting season trailing a deer. :) They are going to be great Hunting dogs and spoiled rottin'!!

 

We also have two female chickens we brought home, Dixie and Belle. Ha. They help clean up the yard when the puppies go poo. They are not as friendly but don't get in the way either. I forgot to get a picture of them, but I'm sure you all know what a chicken looks like.

 

That makes our family expand to 4 boys and 2 girls, Hunter, Shadow (cat), Smokey, Bandit, Dixie and Belle. Ahh.. what a family. That's about as far as having a brother or sister Hunter will get from Mommy and Daddy for now. I am enjoying our small family and many pets just as we are! Our next step in life is getting a home for all of us and that my friends will be a rejoicing, most wonderful day to come!!! And It shall come soon, very soon, next year soon! :)
