Well, I had a great weekend.....Friday night I caught up with friends of mine & watched a movie & had dinner at there house. Saturday...ahh....Saturday.........
Here's my story.... I got up early that morning because I was headed to the beach with the girls. It was going to be a nice HOT one. Wayne kept Hunter for me so there wasn't any hassle this time going to the beach, just relaxation! We arrived fairly early, 9:30, got a good spot on the beach. I actually got in the ocean this time (usually I hate the water because of the nasty & stickiness), but I have to say I really enjoyed myself. I couldn't stop laughing when them huge waves kept hitting us. Ha! Well I get to my lounge chair & receive a disgusting message on my phone from my Hubby. Wondering why the heck should I own a cell If I don't pick up when he calls....hmmm....honey maybe its because I'm in the water SWIMMING, isn't that what you do!!! Any who....I called him back & this is when my day got ruined.
Wayne, Dennis (FIL), & Hunter went fishing at a friends pond in Cottagsville. They drove out back, far in the woods, through the field to get to the pond. They were out there for 10 min. & realized it was way too hot to have Hunter out there. While Wayne was putting up his rod, my FIL decides he wants to throw a few oysters from our freezer into the pond. As he did that he threw my husbands car keys with them. UH YEAH! (accident)
Now, my husband is freaking out because Hunter is sweating by now. They call my MIL to bring the spare keys (luckily I left at the house). Mind you my MIL is no back woods woman, she probably had no clue how to get to this place. Anyways Wayne's fanning my son off while he sits in the trunk because that's the only shade they had. Dennis heads to the highway in case he see's her. Well time goes by....an hour... and they still haven't seen her. By now Hunter is very hot, sweaty & exhausted, finally Wayne just covers Hunter up with a blanket while he's in his stroller, & strolls him to the highway, witch is far away. Wayne ends up hitch-hiking a ride up to the nearest station. (these strangers were the one's who were related to the owner). Wayne ended up getting a voicemail on his phone from his mother. The truck battery wasn't working when she stopped for gas so that held her back from getting there, and she wasn't quite sure she went too far...etc..
I didn't know what to do, If I left the beach there was no way I would have made it there before someone else did. All I did the whole time was get phone calls back & forth, & tried seeing if someone else could pick up Hunter just to get him out the heat. Of course some people are inconspicuous, selfish losers who could care less about others. Oh and if you read this, yeah I'm talking to you, oh well this is my blog, get over it!!!
Wayne finally calmed down to speak firmly to me that Katherine had made it to Subway to pick them up. Wayne described to me that Hunter's face was bright red, completely dripping sweat, & almost passed out on him. Wayne did all he could to keep little man cool.
I got home & Wayne explained to me everything that happened. Witch led me to tears just thinking about it. When they arrived home he gave Hunter a cool bath & gave him plenty of water & fed him. It wasn't long after, he fell asleep from an exhausted day.
I was so glad to see Hunter when I got home. It broke my heart just looking at him & imagining this.
I know my FIL was very devastated & was sorry for what he caused. Sometimes he can get a bit side track but I still love him anyways.
As that was said, Wayne & I took Hunter out to dinner that evening to Dolphin Cove Marina. I had a $50 gift card I won off the radio. The view was beautiful right on the ocean, and the food was great! But the service & people, well lets just say it's very urban & we won't be visiting again. :)

Sunday was a very relaxing day. I went to church to teach my Sunday school children but come to find out we only had 1 child. We moved her to another class & went ahead into 9:30 service instead of 11. I picked Wayne up from home afterwards & we headed to North Charleston for the day. We got lunch at Olive Garden (my favorite), then looked to see if Wayne could fine some shorts for work, no luck. We headed back to town to Verizon store to see if I could upgrade my phone. Lord knows I needed a new phone. I got a new LG enVtouch phone & I absolutely LOVE it! It's so awesome! We also dropped a line & added Internet to our cell. :)

I've discovered Hunter has learned something new. He can roll his little toy trucks back and forth & say "vroom, vroom". He also can play with his pop up ball toy (whatever its called). He knows where to put the ball in. And he says "sh...." a lot now, whatever that means! :)
That sums it up for my wild weekend. :)
Hope I didn't bore ya too much!

5 sweet friend had something to say:
What? No nude pictures? Ha
Love,

Oh! I can just imagine how helpless you must have felt, knowing that your little man was sweating up a storm. If I lived near you, I would have helped I promise!!!! Heat is so scary for little babes, they can't cool off properly. Sounds like he has recovered, nothing a good long nap won't fix.
wow-i would have freaked out!
sounds like a crazy day, glad the rest of the weekend seemed much more relaxed.
OMG! I cannot believe all of that happened! I bet your FIL felt so bad about that and I am sure you were going crazy. At least Hunter was okay!
Oh, Love the pics! Glad you had a great weekend! :)
I'm glad he was okay!!!!!!!! What a scary situation that must of been!!!!! All smiles now :)
