Dear Hunter

Hunter,
today you are 19 months. How is that even possible?!? You are growing like a weed that will not slow down. Lately I have felt a really close bond between you & mommy that I haven't felt before. You are ALWAYS calling "mommy" every second, and It's the most sweetest thing ever. You say it so softly & sweet sometimes, It's almost like your telling me you need me. You even call your daddy mommy ALL the time, quite funny. Every morning you talk to me & tell me things that just sound so sweet, even though half the time I'm not exactly sure what you are saying. You are learning so quickly. You have started putting sentences together. You are saying a few more new words; block, grandma, flower, mine. You have the funniest laugh that started about a week ago. Every time you see something that seems funny to you, you will laugh out loud. It's hilarious! You have become quite the copy cat lately. We have also noticed your voice/screams have gotten a bit higher, like your voice is changing, crazy! You have started making these silly facial expressions when things don't go your way like scrunching your nose up, almost like your playing a fake cry just to get your way. You love the outdoors, and dislike it when I tell you It's time to come inside. You are mommies big helper & a great listener. When I tell you to do something, "most" times you will do what I tell you. When I ask you a question you will usually shake your head no, (because you don't want to do that) but It's too cute & that just tells mommy you are learning. You LOVE to run around anywhere you please, and DOES NOT like to be held. I can barely keep up with you, I'm always on my toes chasing after you, breaking out a sweat. :) You give the sweetest kisses & hugs that makes our hearts melt. You are in a size 6 diaper now. Your foot has just about grown out of a size 6 shoe, we're going to get some new sneakers this weekend for your big foot. You are in a size 2T now, you can still wear a few clothes in 24 months but your growing too fast on me. You have the sweetest smile ever, no matter what kind of mood your in you carry a smile. I think you have become more attached to your momma over the past month, most times you never want to leave my side. Daddy's says you wont be like that before too long, because he'll be taking you in the woods everywhere he goes. Until then I'll cherish these precious "mommy" moments. Lately you have thrown a few HORRIBLE tantrums, for instance when you want to run around & It's time for mommy or daddy to pick you up you throw the worst fit EVER! You want it your way or you'll embarrass us to the point we have to take you away from public. We DO NOT like this behavior in you. I do believe It's come time to start disciplining you before It gets any worse. So you better be prepared for some rules that daddy & I will be laying down for you!!! Son you are the best thing that could ever happen to me & your daddy, even if you do throw the worst tantrum & you drive us nuts, you are so deeply loved & we forgive you. You are growing on us so quickly, before we know it you'll be going to school soon (ahem...in another 4 years). The time just wont slow down. This year is going to be such an EXCITING year for us. We are going to enjoy so many wonderful outdoor adventures with you, & your going to LOVE it! I cannot wait. We love you baby boy. Thank you for filling our hearts with so much joy & love!
