Eating big boy food

Do you know how difficult it is to try feeding a 6 month old baby food? Well I am finding it very difficult to feed him at times. Now when Hunter sees his bottle he gets so excited because he knows its feeding time. Well I am trying to feed him solids, and its not going so well. Yesterday I tried feeding him, cereal, and sweet potatoes, but he would not open his mouth. When I showed him his bottle he would open his mouth and get so tickled, so as I did that, I had to hurry up and give him his food. I know its not the way to do this, more like teasing him, but he has got to start eating solids. Well I told my mother n law about this, and she suggested moving to stage 3 in baby food so it would be more chunkier for him. Also she suggested giving him table food. So I smashed up some carrots and potatoes for him last night, and he loved it! He ate all of it. Thanks to Katherine, I know now that I can try this more often and it won't hurt him to eat this. Besides he's got some teeth now to help him chew.
